Stirring the teaspoon around the mug, Wanda tried to keep a low profile before whispering in her ear piece 'I'm really not sure we should be doing this guys' looking around from her table at the coffee shop, Wanda tried to look out for any sign of Willow 'If she catches us she will never trust us and neither will Bucky if he finds out what we've been doing'

Steve looks down to the coffee shop tables from his post at the window of an abandoned house across the street 'Something is off Wanda. Don't ask me how I know. I just feel it' sighing whilst trying to remain hidden from the semi covered window, he sighed 'Bucky and Willow are slowly making there way back to each other and I just don't want anything to get in the way of that'

Sipping her coffee, whilst trying to remain discreet, Nat waded in on the conversation 'something or someone?'

Steve sighed 'Well that's what we're here to find out'

Something caught Wanda's attention from across the street and using her senses she managed to home in on the pair. There in broad daylight were Willow and Jeremy. She really had hoped that Steve was barking up the wrong tree but seeing them so close together highlighted that Steve was possibly right on this one 'I see her. She's right there across the street'

Willow hated lying to everyone about where she was going but it was obvious that Jeremy wasn't going to leave her alone until she met with him. And as guilty as meeting up with him made her feel, she knew it was better than being continuously harassed by him

'Don't walk off Willow, we need to talk' Jeremy blew out frustrated

'Well then tell me why you wanted to see me so we can both get on with our day. Jeremy looked at the defiance she held and the slightly cold tone she was using towards him. Did he really mean that little to her that she couldn't even give them the time of day 'Well if you stopped walking off I could tell you'

Just as Willow whipped around to give him a piece of her mind, she lost her footing on the pavement and started to fall into the oncoming traffic before Jeremy grabbed her and pulled her back to safety 'Jesus Willow. You need to be more careful'

'It's not like I did it on purpose is it?' Looking up at him, she realised how close they now were. She was pressed flush against him and could literally see the flicker of green in his hazel eyes due to the proximity of their positions. she cleared her throat 'Thanks though for pulling me back. I didn't even see it coming'

Looking her up and down, satisfied that she definitely didn't have any injuries from the fall, Jeremy grabbed her face so she had to look at him head on 'You're shaking. Can I do anything?'

Moving from within his grasp and stepping back allowed her some much needed breathing space and a clearer mind 'No Jeremy. I'm fine honestly. But maybe that was a sign I shouldn't be here. Maybe I should just go'

Preventing her from leaving by grabbing her forearm, he waited until he had her attention 'Why are you still trying to avoid talking about us. We both know that just now your breath hitched and your heart started racing. Even when you try and deny me, your body still gravitates towards me. Why are you fighting the attraction between us?'

'I've told you already. I'm married to Bucky and I owe it to him to try. We had something once, a long time ago. And don't get me wrong it was great and even though I don't remember everything, I trust myself to know that there has to be a reason why I ended things. My body might betray me but my mind is firmly fixed on that Jeremy and I need you to accept this'

Now, if there's one thing that Jeremy hates, it's losing and he wasn't about to give up on Willow without a fight 'Well maybe I know something that might just change your mind about it all. I'm not doing this out here in the open though so I'm asking you here and now if you'll come back to mine with me so we can discuss this properly'

Willow desperately tried to think of an excuse, a reason to not hide anything else from Bucky but yet again her mind let her down because that inquisitive side of her wanted answers 'Fine. I'll come with you but this time you need to spill your guts and sing like a canary or I'm gone... for good. But after this, I need for you to respect what I'm asking and leave me the hell alone'

From across the street, Steve watched as his best friends wife got into a car with her ex. He could feel his hands twitching at the thought of what might be about to happen behind closed doors.

Pulling him out of his reverie, Wanda's voice rang out loud and clear in his ear 'Well this doesn't look good, does it. I can't believe she's actually got in the car and left with him. Are you going to tell Bucky'

That exact same question had been running round in Steve's mind since he saw how close they looked, even from a street away 'Honestly.... I don't know'

After listening to the pair debate what they'd just seen, she felt obliged to throw in her two cents 'Maybe it's worth giving Willow the benefit of the doubt first before jumping to any conclusions and putting her on blast.'

Looking over at her friend, Wanda nodded 'I agree. Let's go to Willow first and hear her explanation and then we can figure out if there's anything of worth we think Bucky needs to know'

Steve sighed which didn't go unnoticed by the pair 'Yeah maybe you're right. Let's pack up and head back to the compound. I feel our work here is done anyway'
