Walking into the bar, Willow scanned it to look for her friends. As if she had wished them into life, she saw a redhead and a petite blonde poking through the crowd. Taking a deep steadying breath she made her way over to their table
Spotting her in the distance, Nat jumped up from the wooden bench, running over and wrapping her tightly in a hug 'These three months without you have literally been the longest of me life. Never run out on me again.. you hear me'
Trying not to cry at the level of support she was receiving, Willow promised not to leave her again before having Yelena's arms wrapped around her from behind 'I've missed you. I can't have you ever running out on me again'
To everyone in the bar, they must've looked a sight. The three of them all wrapped around each other not seeing where limbs started and where they end. But she didn't care because now if felt like she was home
'I'm sorry for not seeing you guys. I just had a lot of things that I needed to work through before I could face seeing you all again. I have missed you guys though'
Smiling Nat needed to hear all the gossip 'So what have you been up to since you've been away?'
Willow cleared her throat, playing with the thread on the end of her sleeve 'Well Jeremy has asked me to move in with him so there is that'
Yelena and Nat share a look between them before the redhead hesitantly opened her mouth 'Oh wow. That is huge news' Yelena nodded in response 'So does that mean that you're together now then. You and Jeremy?'
Taking a large gulp of her drink, Willow looked at them both 'No. We're not together. We're just friends but I get the feeling that he wants more from me. In fact he ummmm.... Well he kissed me. A few times actually'
Nat whistled and leant back on her chair 'Wow... ok that is big news. How did you feel when he kissed you?'
Taking a pause before answering, Willow leant forward 'Honestly it felt wrong. Like it feels familiar and my body reacts to him each time we kiss but something doesn't feel right. Not like it does when I kiss.... Well when I kiss you know who'
'Not like it feels when you kiss Bucky you mean' Yelena stated slightly smug 'You can say his name you know. It's not like he's the bogeyman'
Smirking, Willow took a long swig from her beer before looking at her friends 'I'm so confused. No matter what I do, I seem to hurt someone. My body and my heart seem to be fighting with each other in regards to who I should pick and I hate that I'm hurting people. I'm starting to wish I never survived that crash.'
Watching Willow brush a tear that had fallen onto her cheek, Nat's heart broke for her friend. Grabbing her hand tightly, she forced her to look at them 'Oh Willow... never say that. I know it feels rough at the moment but you'll figure it all out. I know you will'
Blinking rapidly as the tears kept falling, she took a steadying breath 'I'm sorry you guys. I shouldn't say something like that. I just feel so horrid about the whole situation. Have either of you spoken to Bucky at all?'
Willow plays with the thread on her top whilst waiting for an answer. A part of her didn't even want to know how he was doing but she cared to much about him to keep avoiding the subject. Yelena looked over at her 'Not to Bucky directly but I have spoken to Sam a few times. He said that Bucky's been trying to keep busy'
'That's good I suppose' but was it good. Willow spent most days just trying to put one foot in front of the other. Silently crying at night without actually knowing why but Bucky seemed to be coping just fine.
'Just call him low. I know for a fact that he'll be happy to hear from you' Nat stated whilst dipping down so that her chin was rested on her arms whilst looking up at her with he big doe eyes
Laughing slightly at the absurdity she felt at getting in contact with Bucky, she turned to her friends 'And what exactly would I even say to him? Hey.. sorry I haven't called you in months. Hope you're good... Ooh by the way I shared a few kisses with Jeremy and he wants me to move in with him'
Nat's eyes go wide as she caught a glimpse of the figure standing there, within ear shot of their conversation 'ummm Willow maybe we should just stop talking about this'
'Wait... you guys were the ones who were pushing me to speak about him and now you want to shut the door on the conversation' she asked slightly confused at the change in direction of the conversation
'Oh no please don't stop on my account. It seems like you're just getting to the interesting part so please continue'
Willow jerked up straighter, slowly turning around to be confronted by Steve. He was towering above her looking slightly intimidating. Cautiously looking up at him, she approached his comment 'How much of that conversation did you hear'
'Oh I heard plenty but please don't let that stop you from talking about your make out sessions with that slime ball or the fact that you're even thinking of moving in with him'
Willow flinched at his line of questioning, tears threatening to fall 'That isn't fair Rogers but I feel a lecture coming so by all means get it all off your chest. The floor is all yours'
