***************************

Bucky had been on cloud nine for the last couple of days. Since having their date a few nights ago Willow had been spending most of her time with Bucky. They were inseparable just like the old times.

The only thing bugging him right now was that he was on a mission with Sam in which he hadn't stopped staring at Bucky for the last hour. Bucky never being one to back down, continued the stare off that the pair had seemingly fallen into.

Just when Bucky was finally going to snap at Sam, he broke the silence 'You and Willow seemed to be getting on well recently. Are you planning on telling her about Jeremy'

And then it clicked, they'd all had a debate a few weeks earlier about whether to tell Willow why she no longer had anything to do with Jeremy but it was decided with medical advice that trying to rush the return of any memories might lead to more serious issues down the road and it was best not to pressure her into trying to remember 'We already agreed on this as a team Sam. Besides she hasn't even asked about him so why would I bring him up to her?'

Sam rolled his eyes 'Because man, you're trying to win her over again. You can't start a new relationship on lies. You need to tell her'

'Not at the moment I don't. It isn't the right time. She's still recovering from her injuries and I don't want to make it worse'

Sam stands from his position to armour himself up ready for the mission, giving Bucky the side eye. After a few minutes, Bucky walked over to him frustrated 'I get what you're saying Sam. I really do but I know what I'm doing. I'm trying everything not to hurt Willow. You just need to trust me'

'Fine but done wait too long Buck. You've both already lost enough......'

Meanwhile Nat had dragged Willow out for a girls night out. After a lot of probing from Nat about her relationship with Bucky and a few shots in, Willow was feeling pleasantly buzzed 'Hey Natalie..... I'm just going to go to the little girls room. Don't run out on me now'

Nat snorts whilst paying the bar tender for yet another round of drinks 'It's Natasha actually not Natalie... and I know you know this. You didn't lose your memories with me so stop being a dick'

Willow throws her head back laughing 'well that will teach you for the twenty questions you were firing my way about me and Bucky.... won't it Nikki'

Nat flipped her off causing Willow to laugh even harder 'It's Nat you asshole. Now hurry up so we can continue this session'

Laughing whilst heading off to the bathroom, Willow checked her phone to see if Bucky had been in touch with her but there had been zero activity on her phone which wasn't surprising considering he was on a mission but she snapped a seductive selfie anyway and sent it to Bucky knowing it would put a smile on his face once he had seen it.

Not really looking at where she was going, Willow walked right into the chest of someone 'Oh I'm sorry.. I wasn't looking where.... Jeremy?'

Jeremy gave her one of his crooked half smiles whilst moving towards her. If the drink hadn't made her so fuzzy, she would probably be able to process all of this a lot better. 'Hi... you're looking good' Jeremy managed to direct at her whilst she was still trying to get her brain to catch up with the fact he was in front of her

Grabbing his arm and pulling him into a more secluded spot, Willow finally managed to acknowledge him 'Jeremy what the hell are you doing here? Did you follow me?'

Amused at her reaction, he moved closer to her 'Well you haven't exactly given me much choice. You're not answering my calls or texts. How else was I going to get you to speak to me?'

Rolling her eyes in frustration, Willow muttered through gritted teeth 'That's normally a clue that someone doesn't want to talk to you. Not a flaming invitation for you to stalk me. I can't be around you right now Jez. It's too confusing for me'

'Confusing how?' He enquired 'Is it because you still have feelings for me? Because if you do, why are you shutting me out?'

Willow sighs taking a few steps back 'I owe it to Bucky to see if there is something there. He is my husband after all. I must've married him for a reason and I need to explore that. I need you to respect that... ok'

Jeremy manically laughed garnering the attention of people around them 'No... I'm sorry but I can't. I let you go with him once before and I won't make that mistake again'

Wanting to diffuse the situation, Willow smiled at the onlookers before moving closer to Jeremy to make her point 'That's not your decision to make. Look Nat will be looking for me if I don't come back in a minute so I need to go'

'Only if you agree to meet me so we can properly talk and I can explain everything from my side'

Willow looks around anxiously making sure Nat wasn't around 'Fine. I'll meet with you but right now, I really need you to go'

Jeremy nodded and pressed a kiss to her cheek before walking out of the bar. Willow suddenly felt completely sober with her thoughts going directly to Bucky. Not feeling the need to remain out any longer, she bypassed the bathroom and headed back to the table where Nat had been waiting 'Finally. I was about to send out a search party for you'

Willow smiled but it didn't quite reach her eyes 'Sorry. There was a huge queue for the ladies. You know how it is. Do you mind if we go actually. I'm not feeling too good'

Nat chuckled 'I was waiting for you to ditch me for Bucky. You don't need to fake illness to go back to him. Sam text me whilst you were in the toilet saying they were back at the compound so I knew you would want to leave'

'Yeah well you know me'

'That I do' Nat stammered out as she grabbed the three shots left on the table and necked them back 'Alright you.. let's go and reunite you with lover boy'
