Part 17 - What Loving you feels like

Bucky has insisted on getting them a Chinese takeout after the afternoon they had just had. Willow had been really quiet since watching Bucky's memory of their wedding vows. If she thought about it hard enough she could feel his lips on hers again. Feel how her heart sped up when he had moved closer and feel the love she felt in that moment.

The whole thing had been completely mesmerising. It was weird to feel like a spectator watching from the sidelines on such an intimate moment. I mean how many people lose the memories of the one they're supposed to love the most. Thinking about the kiss had Willow blushing.

Bucky had been intently watching Willow since they had entered the common room. She's been really quiet since he showed her his favourite moment and he was starting to panic about the fact that maybe he had pushed her when she wasn't ready. Tossing the takeout box to the side he walked over to where she was and sat directly in front of her 'Talk to me Willow. You've been really quiet since we've come back. Was that all too much'

Realising that this was a conversation she wasn't getting out of anytime soon, Willow pushed her plate away 'It was a lot you know. Like I thought I had prepared myself for it but I don't think anyone could really have prepared me for how that would make me feel' she smiled at him before continuing 'I'm ok though Buck... I just need some time to process it all I think'

'I knew I'd pushed you to quick. I should've picked a different memory. It's just that our wedding was one of the best days of our lives and I needed you to see what we had. To feel the connection between us but I'm starting to think that was really selfish of me'

Realising that she was giving Bucky the wrong idea about how she was feeling, she hastily tried to correct him 'No please don't apologise for that. I'm glad you showed me that memory'

'I've got to be honest sweetheart, you don't look like someone who was happy to see that memory'

Trying to figure out how she can make this all better and put him at ease, she hesitantly reached her hand out and placed it on top of his where it was resting against the desk 'You're getting me all wrong. I'm not being quiet because I'm upset with what you showed me. Far from it'

Bucky could see she was struggling with what she wanted to say but the selfish part of him wanted to understand why she looked so down 'Then what is it! Talk to me... please'

'Ok I'm not sure how to put this all in to words so I'm going to need you to bear with me, can you that?' He nodded to let her know she could continue 'It was like I was living that moment through your eyes. Like I could feel the love pouring out of you. For a fleeting moment everything felt so real, like I could almost remember what that moment felt like. It was so overwhelming but it's like it flicked a switch somewhere inside of me. I knew from that moment that I would do anything to feel that again... with you. And I have to be honest Buck, that terrifies me and confuses me. I'm trying to digest what it all means'

Of all the things that Bucky had expected her to say, that was not it. Looking at her in so much turmoil and confusion made him want to scoop her up and take her away from anything that might ever hurt her again 'How did it make you feel?'

Her brows furrowed in confusion 'What do you mean?'

Bucky slowly stands taking hold of her hand to pull her up to a standing position in front of him 'How did watching that, seeing me vow to love you until death do us part... how did that make you feel?'

Moving slightly closer she looked into his eyes 'Like I wanted you to make me feel like that for real. Like I needed to relive that moment'

That was all Bucky needed to hear. He gently lifted her up so she was sat upon the desk. He nudged her legs open so that he could stand in between her parted thighs. He placed his hands on either side of her face and gently drew her closer, leaving enough time for her to back away if that's what she wanted. He put every ounce of the love that he felt into that kiss. He needed her to feel how much he loved her. As the kiss became more passionate she flung her arms around his neck to pull him closer whilst wrapping her legs around his waist. Bucky captured her moans in his mouth. Bucky chuckled before leaning down to capture her lips with his again 'You're absolutely right sweetheart. Practise makes perfect after all' and with that he continued where they'd left off. This time without the heavy petting like they were a bunch of horny teenagers.
