Bucky had been walking at a fast pace as Sam tried to keep up with him. Although he knew Sam meant well, he was sick and tired of him always taking about Willow. Sam wanted them to abort the mission as they hadn't found any leads and for Bucky to go back and fight for Willow but the truth is Bucky felt he was done with fighting for her. It got exhausting being the only one trying to keep a relationship going.
A shrill noise caused him to slow down his pace when he saw the concerned look Sam gave his mobile before answering 'Hello.. Nat?'
A frown appearing on Sam's face made Bucky lean in to see if he could pick up on the conversation that was happening next to him 'Nat... slow down and say that again. Tell me slowly. What's happened to Willow?'
Sam looking over to Bucky before responding to Nat 'Yeah Bucky is here. He's right next to me. Hang on a second and I'll put you on loud speaker'
Bucky pulled Sam into the entrance of an alley so they were away from all the noise. Prompting Sam to put the conversation on speaker, he took over 'I'm listening Nat. Now what the hell is going on'
A sigh came through the other end of the phone before Nat continued 'Ok... first things first...please don't go off when you hear what I'm about to say' which immediately put Bucky on edge 'Nat spit it out already will you because the scenarios I'm playing out in my head are pretty rough'
Sam tried to calm Bucky down in order to allow Nat to continue 'Steve and Willow got into a bit of a heated argument and he let out a lot of information about what when down between her and Jeremy especially around her father'
Sam didn't even need to look at Bucky to know that steam was coming out of his ears. They had all discussed that situation and agreed that Bucky would tell Willow when the time was right. Finding out that it was Steve that had spilled the beans would hurt even more 'He did what?' Sam exclaimed whilst holding the phone a little tighter
Snatching the phone out of Sam's hands, Bucky tried to simmer the anger that was bubbling within him 'When did this happen Nat?'
'Three days ago to be precise' she pulled the phone away from her ears as she heard the expletives coming from Bucky's mouth 'And we haven't seen her since. Or Jeremy. We haven't been able to locate either of them'
'You should of told me sooner Nat. Willow is out there somewhere by herself feeling betrayed by all of us and reliving that situation all over again. God damn it, I could've gone searching for her days ago'
Punching the wall in anger before leaning against it trying to contain his emotions, Bucky tried to think about where Willow would be. Half listening to the rest of the conversation, he heard Sam hang up on the call
'What do you want to do Buck' pulling his hand frustratedly through his hair, he tried to shut everything out and concentrate on where Willow could be. He had loved that woman for years, knew her better than anyone else so where the hell could she be.
As if someone was listening to his cry for help. It hit him. He knew exactly where she would be 'I know where she is Sam. I've got to go. I need to find her' Sam nodded in agreement 'Go man. Don't waste another second worrying about it. Do you want me to go with you?'
Shaking his head, he patted Sam on his shoulder 'No I need to do this myself but I'll keep you posted'
Jumping on his motorcycle, he pushed the speed limit knowing that his girl needed him and probably had needed him for days. He was so annoyed with Steve right now. They had all agreed not to say anything so why would he do that. Steve wasn't someone who would do this maliciously. He cared for Willow and he wouldn't intentionally hurt her but Bucky couldn't help thinking that the way it had all come out was completely fucked up
Getting closer to her family's cabin, he could feel his heart start to race. He hoped with everything he had that she would be here because if she wasn't he didn't have a clue where she would be.
His mind was swimming with images of her in distress, crying herself to sleep. Was she depressed, had she called out for him when she was at her lowest. Fuck.. he needed to get to her as soon as possible before he drove himself insane thinking about how his girl might be handling all of that information
Pulling up the long drive to the secluded cabin, he came to a stop, turning the engine off and looking up at the cabin. The light on the outside was on and that gave him hope that she was there.
Running to the door, he knocked loudly, calling out to her so she knew it was him. Watching the curtain against the door move, he came face to face with the woman he had been in love with since the day he first saw her
The door slowly opened. Just one look at her broke Bucky. Her eyes were red and puffy from where she had been crying. Her normally luxurious locks were scraped up high into a messy bun, no make up on and the sight that really got to him was the fact that she was wearing one of his discarded t-shirts.
He had to admit that even like this, she was the most beautiful woman he'd ever lied eyes on. Looking up at her he heard a chocked sob 'Bucky.. you're here?'
Pulling her tightly to him, he wrapped himself around her. Giving her all the support she needed at that moment 'I'm here baby doll. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere'
