Willow had gone back into hiding ever since she had that conversation with Jeremy. Nat and Tony had popped by but soon gave up hope of trying to entice her out of her room and she had managed to avoid Bucky at all times.

Jeremy had tried calling and sending messages but she couldn't bring herself to face him after finding out she had cheated. Willow despised cheaters so to know that she herself had been one and caused that level of hurt to another human was slowly breaking her.

It brought back horrible memories from her childhood of her mum cheating on her dad. This guy was richer and her mum loved being the eye candy on another guys arm. Her mum had only been with him for two months when she decided to up and leave her family behind. Leaving Willow behind too. Ever since then it was just Willow and her dad up until he died. Her heart hurt just thinking about how much she missed him.

Picking up an old photo of her with her father, Willow shed a tear 'I wish you were here dad. You would know what to do'

Not willing to spend another day locked away, she grabbed a book and headed out to the garden to enjoy the sunshine

Bucky had watched Willow take herself out to the garden and just admired her from far away. He wasn't sure what exactly had changed in the last few days but he knew she was ignoring him.

Everything had been perfect when they hung out a few days prior and he was at a loss as to why she had gone back to hiding from everybody but he wasn't going to let her get away with it much longer.

With determination in his stride, he marched over to where she was laying on the bench. He knew the minute she noticed he was there as his body blocked the sun, shining a shadow across her view. With no make up on and her hair scraped back on the top of her head, he had never seen her look more beautiful than she did right now

Jumping slightly back, Willow finally acknowledged his presence 'Hey.... I was just about to go back in if you want to take this bench'

Before she could walk away he lightly grabbed her wrist and sat them both down on the bench, turning her slightly more towards him 'You've been avoiding me Willow. Why?'

'I haven't been avoiding you Buck. I've been around. We obviously just kept missing each other'

Watching her nervously pick at the thread in her shorts he knew she was lying 'I know you've lost your memories and therefore everything about us but I haven't. You forget that I know you really well, better than you know yourself actually and I know when you're lying Willow'

She now looked up at him more defiantly 'You're wrong. I haven't been avoiding you'

Bucky leaned in closer to her listening as her heart beat quickened and her mouth slightly parted. Her mind might not remember him but her body certainly did 'Great... if you're not avoiding me, then we can hang out tonight. Meet me back here in the garden in one hour'

She knew he was waiting for her to back down, to admit she had been avoiding him but there was no way she was going to do that 'Fine. I'll be ready'

Bucky stood to walk away before leaning back over with a mere inch between their mouths 'One hour sweetheart. Don't be late' he stated before giving her a kiss on the cheek and walking off'

Willow groaned before laying back down and fanning herself with her book 'God damn it Willow, how hard would it have been to think of an excuse' Muffling a scream in her hands, she quickly dashed inside to make sure she was ready. If she was going to spend a few hours in his company, she wanted to look a million dollars doing it

**************************

As promised Bucky was waiting for Willow in the garden 'I thought I said be ready in an hour'

Willow put on her biggest smile 'It's a woman's perogative to be late Buck'

Looking at her in a floaty blue knee length dress with her hair slightly curled and blowing in the wind and a shawl placed over her shoulders, he couldn't help but think that the thirty minutes extra he had to wait for her was worth it.

Bucky took her hand in his and smiled to himself when she didn't let go. Walking her down to the docks he helped her on to the yacht which had been decked out for a romantic meal. A couple of hours went by and he was relieved at how well they were getting along. They had done nothing but laugh and talk but he felt that he was the luckiest guy around 'It's good to see you laughing. I'm taking that as a sign that you're having a good time'

'How do you know that I'm not just laughing at you' she rebuffed back at him

He laughed 'Oh so that's how it is?'

Willow laughs harder 'Yep that's exactly how it is'

'Well I have to say that if it makes you laugh like that, I'm happy for you to laugh at me'

This was the side of Bucky that Willow had come to care about and seeing how handsome he was in the moonlight caused butterflies 'It's good to see you laugh too you know. You should definitely do it more often'

'I'll keep that in mind. Now do you want to tell me what's been up the last few days and why you've been avoiding me?'

Willow knew it was now or never. She needed to hear the truth from Bucky 'Was there a crossover between my last relationship and ours?'

Bucky was shocked that she was asking. Of all the things he had thought the last few days was about, this was definitely not it 'What?'

'Did I cheat on Jeremy with you? Please don't lie to me either because I really need to know this'

'Ok... there was a slight overlap. Yes. But it isn't as bad as it sounds'

'Oh wow. He was actually telling the truth' Willow felt sick as she said those words out loud. Everything she despised in cheaters, she had actually done herself

'Willow who told the truth? Jeremy? Have you been talking to Jeremy?'

Willow could feel a panic attack coming if she didn't get out of there fast. Grabbing her things she looked at Bucky 'I'm sorry but I've got to go'

Bucky watched her walk off, wanting to follow after her but knowing that she wouldn't want to speak right now. God damn Jeremy and his meddling. Bucky was going to have to put a stop to this before that man wormed his way back in.
