Warnings: Angst! Minor Character Death! Still no Steve!

Thor took Jane off to the healers to see if they could work out what was wrong with her. While you walked through the palace taking it all in and enjoying being home.

You were stood on the balcony looking out at the vast and beautiful views. You remembered you had your mobile on you so pulled it out. You weren't surprised to find that you had no signal but you still took a few photos.

You had told Steve so many stories about Asgard but you never felt like you described it well. So while you could you took photos in the hopes of showing them to Steve once you returned.

"I thought I heard you" you hear someone say.

Turning around you're greeted with your mother smiling back at you. Her arms held open in which you quickly surged forward into.

"Mother I have missed you dearly" you say as you hug her.

"We've missed you too, you look like you've found your feet on Midgard" she smiles looking down at your outfit.

"Yes, I have many friends aiding me, one in particular is also not used to the modern world so we have learnt together" you tell her smiling at the thought of Steve.

"He seems like a wonderful man" you mother smiles rubbing your arm gently.

"He is" you smile.

"Your chambers are as you left them, if you wish to change into something less Midgardian" Frigga says with a playful smile.

"Thank you mother, before I go may I ask you something" you ask, she nods her head for you to go on.

"Loki, how is he? Have you visited him" you ask her.

"He is behaving, still locked in the dungeon. Your father asks for me not to visit but I have my ways" she tells you with a small wink.

You mother was incredible with magic, she tried to teach you in but it never truly stuck. You did learn enough to recognise illusions though, a factor that came in handy when dealing with your brother.

"May I visit him?" You ask, Frigga pursing her lips in thought.

"I don't think that would be wise, your father would disapprove" she tells you "I shall pass on your well wishes though" she adds with a small smile.

You nod your head, thanking her before heading off to your chambers. Like she said it was exactly as you left it. You find some of your old clothes, running your fingers through the blue silk cloth.

You had just changed when Thor and Jane walked in.

"Have you discovered what the problem is?" You ask.

"Yes, the substance within Jane in the Aether" Thor explains making you look back at him confused.

"From the stories? I thought that had been destroyed along with the dark elves? By Odin's father" you say recalling the stories your mother had told you growing up.

"Yes, it appears the stories are not completely true, let us hope it was only the Aether that remains" Thor sighs shaking his head.

"Indeed, now was that the only reason you came to my chambers?" You ask him.

"No would you be able to lend Jane some of your robes" Thor asks.

"Yes of course, I don't have much use for them" you smile walking over and grabbing a dress and shawl for Jane.

"Thank you" she says quietly before moving behind the screen to change.

"What is the plan now brother?" You ask as the two of you step away to give Jane more privacy.
