Chapter 35: A Trip Back In Time *

A/N: I'm sorry that I haven't updated this in a while, but I just haven't had the time! But if you really want to be kept up to date the story is regularly updated on my tumblr since it's queued up on there, which I can't really do on here!

Every lead for both the spectre and Bucky had gone cold, they were practically frozen. You knew you had to be missing something. So you had found a conference room with a large enough table, grabbed a few boxes and started looking through all the files. It was a long and tedious job, you had been at it for the majority of the day.

"You know you can ask JARVIS to do that" Tony says grabbing your attention.

"I know but I don't know what I'm looking for so how can I ask JARVIS" you sigh pulling another file out from the box.

"Fair enough it would make it quicker though, we have all of these digitised" he points out as he walks into room picking up a file.

"Maybe but call me old fashioned but I have trust issues with tech, it's evil, no offence JARVIS" you shrug.

"None taken miss" the AI responds.

"So you found anything?" Tony asks sitting down.

"Not yet, honestly I don't get how it even got stolen in the first place it would be the first thing I'd secure" you sigh leaning back in your chair.

"Well there was a mix up in the records, after New York SHIELD had it they sent it to DC, but DC had it in their records that it went to a storage facility in New Jersey, who themselves thought DC had it" Tony explains making you furrow your brows.

"How did that even happen?" You ask confused.

"I dunno but it meant we had to go by process of elimination by time we cleared all three sites its was gone" Tony sighs shaking his head.

"Wait so for the last 2 years nobody actually knew where it was" you ask sitting up.

"Guess so" Tony says with a shrug of his shoulders.

"What if it was taken before SHIELD even fell?" You say thinking out loud.

"Wouldn't Fury have noticed?" Tony asks.

"Not if Pierce was the one pulling the strings" you say starting to look in the files.

"That means it was most likely taken when it was 'transported' from New York, JARVIS pull up the transport record" Tony says.

"Right away Sir" JARVIS says pulling up the records on the holographic screen.

"Strike team" you sigh in annoyance when the photos appear.

"Who's that guy?" Tony asks pointing to the guy with the monocle.

"Wolfgang von Strucker" JARVIS answers.

"Here we go" you say pulling out the file you were looking for "he worked under STATION"

"STATION?" Tony questions.

"Yeah the um, Scientific Training and Tactical Intelligence Operative Network" you tell him.

"What is it with SHIELD and their acronyms" Tony mutters.

"I dunno but on his file it says he got transferred out of SHIELD a year or so after New York" you say reading the file.

"Does it say where?" Tony asks.

"No Pierce must have wiped it clean" you sigh in annoyance.

"Well at least we know who we're looking for" Tony offers.
