You were discharged from the Wakandan hospital the next day. Moving into one of the guest rooms immediately where you were put on bed rest for the next couple of days.

Not that you were complaining, your body was exhausted. You spent a lot of your days napping or cuddled up beside steve.

The rest of the team would come and visit you. Keep you company when Steve was busy working with T'Challa. When Nat visited you noticed how different she seemed. She seemed far more at peace.

"What happened in Norway?" You ask when she was visiting.

"What do you mean?" She asks confused.

"Nat I've known you for years now, you're practically my sister, I can see something has changed, you've changed," you tell her with a knowing smile.

"Can you promise me you won't tell anyone?" She asks sitting forward.

"I swear, I won't even tell Steve if you don't want me to" you reassure her.

She looks back at you in surprise "I thought you two told each other everything?" She smirks.

You pause for a moment not sure how to answer. Because you did tell each other everything, you didn't have secrets. Except you hadn't told him everything about the raft. You couldn't bring yourself to, scared of his reaction.

"I'll leave it up to you to decide, but I reunited with my family," Nat tells you slowly.

"Your family? But I thought-" you start, whenever Nat had told you about her past she told you her parents were long dead. That she was alone.

"Not my biological family" Nat explains.

"One of my first missions as a kid was to help the KGB steal intelligence, I had surrogate parents and a little sister. We lived in Ohio and even though I knew it was fake, it was real to me, it was my home. After that mission, we were taken to the red room and I never saw them again. I assumed they were free when me and Clint took down the red room, but I was wrong the red room was still active. So, I needed to finish what I started and I enlisted their help. I finally took down the red room and reunited with my family, now I'm trying to help my other family" Nat says tears collecting in the corners of her eyes.

Without saying anything you pulled her into a hug, rubbing her back "I'm glad you found them, you deserve it so much" you tell her.

"Thank you, it feels nice talking about it, the only other person who knows is Clint" Nat smiles as she rubs away the stray tears.

"And look if you need anyone to talk to about anything you can come to me, with anything even stuff you can't tell Steve" she adds putting her hand on your knee.

You flinch slightly in surprise "I'm fine" you say quickly.

"You sure?" She asks raising a brow.

"Yeah, I'm good, I swear," you tell her nodding your head.

"So tell me about this little sister? Is she like the stereotypical troublesome little sister?" You ask changing the subject.

"Kinda, she definitely takes the piss out of me, but she gave me her utility vest which is nice" Nat smiles thankfully going on with the change in topic.

The two of you chatted for a couple more hours before Nat headed out leaving you alone. Hearing the sounds of the wildlife from outside you decide to head out onto the balcony.

As you stood there just listening to the sounds of the forest your mind started to wander. You started to think about what Nat had offered. It was a tempting offer to have someone to talk about everything with. But you didn't like keeping secrets from Steve, you also wanted him to be the first to be told.
