Edit: Hi guys, I noticed last night this part was missing a massive section! I've fixed it now and will be going through the rest of the story to make sure nothing else is missing over the next couple of days!
Warnings: Language! Angst! Fluff! Alcohol Consumption!
This past week had been a week from hell. It was the halfway point until your wedding day and the planning had really ramped up. Pepper or Tony were seemingly calling you constantly to ask you something. You were really grateful for the help but between the wedding planning and your Avengers work. You felt like you barely breathed the last couple weeks.
Especially since one of your teams had been a literal and constant headache. Where the Avengers had expanded you had been taking on more agents so they could do missions that didn't need an Avenger. This meant each Avenger, well you Steve and Nat, over saw about 3 to 5 different teams. With the plans to spread the load further down the line.
One of your newest teams was the worst team you had ever seen. Individually they were all perfect agents, some of the best. They couldn't for the life of them work together. They were worse than when the Avengers originally got together. You had tried everything and nothing seemed to work. You were now having to consider a complete reshuffle of the teams which would be a ball ache or drop the agents completely which you didn't wanna do.
The cherry on the top was that this week just had to be the week Mother Nature decided to visit. Steve had been as comforting as he could be, he was literally perfect. Grabbing whatever you needed whenever. The only problem was that it was becoming slightly overwhelming. He pulled the covers up for you last night and tucked you in, like you were a child.
Needless to say when you finally got back to your room after an exhausting day. You were in a foul mood. Steve was reclined on the couch reading when you stormed into the room. Heading straight into the bedroom grabbing a change of clothes.
"Hey you okay?" He asks sitting up and looking over at you.
"Peachy" you grumble chucking your clothes in the hamper and shrugging on a jumper.
"How was the team?" Steve asks getting up and moving to lean against the door frame.
"Same old, same old still not working together" you tell him running your hands over your forehead into your hair.
"Have you thought about sending them to Jensen? He sorted us lot out" Steve asks walking further into the room.
"Yeah they went last week, Jensen was just as lost" you scoff shaking your head.
"Do you want me to try something?" Steve offers crossing his arms over his chest.
It was a simple offer, that maybe if he'd offered any other day or week you'd be grateful for. But today it just rubbed you up the wrong way and was the last thing you needed to hear.
"No Steve! I don't need you fixing goddamn everything!" You snap making him look back at you surprised.
"I'm just trying to help" he counters holding his hands up in defence.
"I don't need your help! I don't need you to swoop in and fix everything! I don't need babying!" You argue back squaring up to him.
"I'm not babying you" he says frowning down at you.
"You tucked me in like a child last night! I can barely move or do anything without you stepping in to do it for me! What next are you going brush my teeth for me?" You scoff shaking your head at him turning away to walk towards the bed.
"Oh c'mon Y/N! You're being ridiculous!" Steve complains making you quickly turn round to face him.
"Ridiculous? I'm being ridiculous?" You exclaim.
