Chapter 41: That was strange

Warnings: Language! Canon Typical Violence! Angst!

Arriving in Seoul, Clint dropped you and Steve off at the lab. When you run in the destruction from Ultron was still present, destroyed equipment sparking. You glance around spotting Helen lying on the floor a nasty blast wound across her chest.

"Dr Cho!" Steve shouts as the two of you run over.

You help her sit up as Steve grabs some gauze from the side pressing it against her wound to stop the bleeding. She winces in pain grabbing your hand tightly.

"He's uploading himself into the body" Dr Cho groans her breathing staggered.

"Where?" You ask her gently, as you clean the small cut on her cheek, but she just shakes her head.

You go to stand to see if where Ultron had gone but she grabs your wrist stopping you.

"The real power is inside the cradle, the gem, its power is uncontainable. You can't just blow it up. You have to get the cradle to Stark" she tells you.

"First we have to find it" Steve says glancing over at you.

"Go" Helen tells the both of you.

"You guys copy that?" Steve asks into the comms.

"We did" Clint answers.

"I got a private jet taking off across town, no manifest that could be him" Nat informs you.

Steve glances over at you and you nod "go, I'll catch up" you tell him taking over from him.

He nods his head and starts running out of the lab. Leaving you and Helen alone.

"You should go too" she tells you weakly.

"Not until I know you're gonna be okay" you say reaching up to grab more medical supplies.

"The twins, they were here but they left without Ultron" she tells you as you start to bandage her up.

"What happened?" You ask confused.

"I don't know exactly, Ultron used the sceptre on me so it's foggy but she didn't like what Ultron was doing, she freed me" Helen tells you.

You take a deep breath relieved that the twins were finally seeing sense. However, after all the pain Wanda caused, you weren't sure if it would be that simple. Whether you could trust them or not.

After a few minutes EMTs arrive and start treating Helen allowing you to catch up with Steve. You leave the lab via the roof. When you reach the edge, you stretch your neck out preparing yourself to use your powers for the first time since your vision.

"Well only one way to find out" you mutter to yourself before leaping off of the roof.

You freefall for a moment before using your powers to fly off towards Steve. Thankfully not ending up as a grease-mark on the streets to Seoul. You spot the jet in the distance giving you a good indication as to where Steve was. You soon spot him fighting Ultron on the top of the truck. You noticed his shield was gone but you didn't have time to look for it now.

As you approach you see Ultron blast Steve back onto the cab of the truck. So the first thing you did was tackle Ultron from behind. He flies upwards and the two of you fight in the air. You try to use your powers to create vines to try and pull out his inner workings but couldn't get close enough. He then grabs you throwing you to the side. You fall for a moment before regaining your balance and flying back towards the fight.

As you fly back you see Ultron holding Steve around the neck. You could also see Nat approaching on a motorbike with his shield.

"Oi Ultron" you shout grabbing his attention as you blast ice at him.
