Chapter 16: Converge on Greenwich

Warnings: Angst! Canon Typical Violence! No Steve! (He's back in the next part tho)

A sandstorm picked up as the three of you made your way through the wasteland trying to find shelter. Eventually you find cover in a small cavern.

"He's gonna unleash it" Jane says as she sits down.

"Not just on Asgard or on a star. Malekith is going to destroy everything" jane continues.

"How" you question.

"Jane, how?" Thor presses when she doesn't answer.

"I saw him on earth. Why would he go to earth?" She says looking up at the two of you.

"The convergence" Thor sighs.

"Oh god" you mutter when you realise how and what Malekith was going to do.

You mind instantly went to all your friends on earth. Especially Steve. All of them blissfully unaware of what was to come.

"None of this would have happened if I hadn't found the Aether" Jane sighs shaking her head.

"Then Malekith would've only possessed it that much sooner" Thor says moving closer to Jane.

"I only found it because I was looking for you" Jane tells him.

"Jane" Thor sighs caressing her cheek soothingly.

"Now we're trapped here" she says shaking her head.

You were then all interrupted by the sound of Jane's ringtone. You look over at her shocked and confused.

"Your phone" you say as she quickly pulls it out answering the call.

As she does so you pull out your own phone finding that it too had signal. You could see text flooding in from all your friends. Steve checking in on you, concerned that he hadn't heard from you.

"Richard? Where are you?" Jane says quickly getting up.

"Oh my god this is amazing" she says holding up her phone.

"How are we getting service here" you ask showing her your phone as well.

"Wait whatever you do, do not hang up the phone!" Jane says into the phone walking away again.

"Who's Richard?" Thor whispers to you.

"I think she went on a date with him" you say trying to recall what Darcy had told you.

As you look around you spot a can on the floor. Specifically, the one Jane had dropped in the abandoned building.

"Jane look" you say pointing it out.

She bends down picking up the car keys Ian had dropped stuffing them in her pocket.

"Thor this way" you say grabbing his hand and pulling him further into the cavern after Jane.

"Where are we going, why are there so many shoes?" He asks glancing around.

"I'll explain later" you say as you watch Jane step through the portal.

"Jane!" Thor says in surprise.

"She's fine now come on" you say pulling him through the portal with you.

The two of you appear back at the abandoned building. Jane already heading over to the car. It's windows had been smashed and the sides had been spray painted but asides from that it was fine.

Thor and you get inside the car, Thor in the passenger seat, you in the back.

"So who's Richard?" Thor asks as Jane starts up the car.
