Chapter 34: Things that go bang in the night *

A lot of leads on both the sceptre and Bucky had gone cold which meant everyone had a lot of down time. So you and Nat took advantage and decided to have a normal day in the city.

The two of you were walking through central park coffee cups in hand chatting away about this that and everything.

"Have you and Steve decided what your Halloween costumes are gonna be?" Nat asks.

"It's only October 1st, I hadn't even thought about Halloween yet" you say taking a sip of your coffee.

"You two should do a cute couple costume" Nat tells you.

"Like what?" You ask unsure as to what you could possibly dress up as.

"There's so many options, you could do a funny one like salt and pepper, or you could do cute one like the characters Woody and Jessie" Nat lists off.

"Who's Woody and Jessie?" You ask not recognising the names.

"Pixar characters, or maybe go for something kinky like cop and robber" Nat smirks.

"Oh umm I don't know" you say feeling the heat rising to your cheeks.

"Oh you know what would be cool! If Steve wore his old army uniform you could be like a 40s pilot or army officer" Nat exclaims.

"That would be cool, I'd have to ask Steve though make sure he's comfortable with it" you tell her shrugging your shoulders.

"Yeah of course, now come lets do some shopping" Nat says pulling you towards the nearest shopping mall.

The two of you went from shop to shop, spending a bit more money than you probably should.

"Oh that reminds me you can never have too many bras" Nat says walking towards Victoria's secret.

You mostly followed Nat around glancing at a couple bras but none of them really stood out to you. You followed her into the lingerie section where she started browsing while you just glanced around.

"So you gonna pick up something for Steve?" She smirks glancing over her shoulder at you.

"Huh?" You ask not fully understanding the question.

"Oh come on, what kinda thing does the old man like, is he kinda traditional? Or does he like something with easier access" she smirks pointing out all the different styles.

"Oh I um- I don't know actually" you say stuttering slightly as you get more flustered.

"Well it's something you could always try to spice it up, I mean if it needs spicing up, is he Captain vanilla or Captain freaky?" She jokes laughing to herself.

When you don't say anything she looks back over at you furrowing her brows.

"Wait, have you guys even?" She asks drifting off at the end.

"No we haven't" you tell her clearing your throat.

"Oh okay, that's fair take it slow, I mean it's been what nearly 5 months I'd be struggling if I were you" she says as the two of you continue to walk around the shop.

"Well I've um- I've never" you say struggling to get your sentence out.

Nat turns round to face you "you've never had sex before?" She finishes for you, lowering her voice.

"Yeah" you admit quietly.

"Hey that's okay, people go at their own pace, if you have any questions or anything you can always ask me it's what girl friends are for" Nat says reassuringly putting a hand on your shoulder.
