Chapter 29: Moving Day

Warnings: Fluff!! Tony being a bit annoying!

A few days later and Steve was completely healed. If you looked at him, you wouldn't have guessed he was on deaths door only a week ago. You'd also been told by the police you could return to Steve's apartment to pack up all his things. First though you had a grave to visit. Walking into the graveyard you spot Sam stood underneath a tree.

"Hey man, how you doing?" Sam smiles shaking Steve's hand.

"Good pretty much back to normal" Steve smiles dropping his hand from Sam's and taking yours smiling down at you.

"Good, looking forward to seeing you on my morning run, it's been quiet without you" Sam says as the three of you continue walking towards the meeting point.

"Well I'm supposed to rest for a couple more days but don't worry I'll be lapping you soon enough" Steve smirks making Sam laugh.

The three of you arrive at the meeting point. You look down at the gravestone reading Fury's name and the quote below it.

"I feel like we should have brought flower" you say making Steve chuckle.

"I don't think Nick's a flower kinda guy" he smiles wrapping his arm around your waist.

"So you've experienced this sort of thing before" Nick says joining the three of you, looking down at his own grave

"You get used to it" Steve smirks.

"We've been data mining Hydra's files. Looks like a lot of rats didn't go down with the ship" Fury sighs turning to look at Steve.

"I'm headed to Europe tonight, wanted to ask if you'd come" Fury asks.

Steve sighs glancing down at you before looking at the gravestone "there's something I gotta do first" Steve sighs.

"How about you Wilson? Could use a man with your abilities" Fury says turning to Sam.

"I'm more of a solider than a spy" Sam tells him.

"Y/N?" He asks turning to you.

You shake your head gently "no, someone's gotta stick around to keep this one in line" you say smirking up at Steve making him chuckle.

"All right then. Anybody asks for me, tell them they can find me right here" Fury says shaking our hands, nodding down to his grave.

"You should be honoured, that's about as close as he gets to saying thank you" Nat says grabbing your attention.

"Not going with him?" Steve asks as the two of you walk over to her.

"No" Nat says shaking her head.

"Not staying here" you say knowingly.

"Nah, I blew all my covers, I got to go figure a new one out" Nat explains.

"That may take a while" Steve says.

"I'm counting on it, I pulled in a couple favours from Kiev" Nat says passing Steve a file.

"Will you do me a favour?" Nat asks, making you and Steve look back up.

"Take some time off, just the two of you" she smiles.

"Already on it" You chuckle.

"Good, you two deserve it" she says taking a couple steps back.

"Be careful Steve, you might not wanna pull on that thread" she says nodding down to the file.

Steve nods slightly as she turns and walks away. Opening up the file you can see a photo of Bucky in a cyro chamber, along with a smaller photo of him from the 40s.
