Amir is watching the trees past by fast as Edward is driving. Bella is in the passenger seat. Aerial shots of the forest as we sweep over its lush green expanse, to find Edward speeding along. Amir didn't mind. The Volvo finally turns off the paved highway and onto a long serpentine dirt road. Until, finally, it reaches a small meadow, in the center of which sits the Cullens house. A timeless graceful house. The Volvo pulls up and Amir climbs out, surprised along with Bella. Edward help Bella out.
"Woah, what a beauty this house is" Amir said looking at the house.
"I just thought it was an expensive house and it fit my description" Amir said walking close to the house. Edward takes her hand. They head inside.
"Esme made it. Maybe you can tell her how much you like it" Edward said.
Edward guides Bella and Amir into the large, bright house. Walls of glass look out on the river. Everything's open and white. Historical objects are tastefully placed throughout.
"It's incredible" Bella said. Edward help take Bella jacket off and take off his jacket. "It's so light and open you know" Placing it down by the door bench. Amir takes his coat off and place it along with them. He is wearing black dress pants with a chain hanging off the side. Dress shoes and black button up shirt tucked in. His hair stylish in a way.
"You expected coffins, dungeons and moats?" Edward asked with a small smile.
"No, not the moats" Bella said walking with Edward. Amir follows walking up the stairs.
"It's the one place we don't have to hide" he said looking at Bella pausing from walking before smiling. "I told them not to do this" Edward turn back around and they continue walking up the stairs.
Cooking show playing as they enter to find the kitchen in full swing. Amir lean against the door frame. Dr. Cullen, Emmett, Rosalie, and Esme prepare elaborate platters of Italian pastas and antipasti. Esme rolls out a pizza dough and fans tomatoes around it in an instant. Rosalie stirs a pot, disinterested.
Esme sees Bella and stops, emanating maternal warmth. Her heart-shaped face and billows of hair are reminiscent of the silent-movie era. "We're making Italiano for you both" Esme said smiling.
"This is Esme, my mother for all intents and purposes" Edward said.
"Bon Giorno?" Bella said looking at Esme who is smiling.
"Molto bene!" Esme said.
"Hello, Amir. It's nice to meet you" Esme said looking over at Amir smiling. She had to look up to look at him.
"It's nice to meet you to, Esme" he said smiling leaning against the wall.
"You've given us an excuse to use the kitchen for the first time" Carlise said.
"Hope you guys are hungry" Esme said.
"Yea, absolutely" Bella said. Amir shakes his head.
"Bella lying, but I am hungry. Always welcoming food" Amir said earning a glare from Bella.
"She already ate" Edward said. Bella shoots him a look, but something shatters. Rosalie has thrown down a bowl. Amir raised an eyebrow looking at the broken glass.
"Perfect" Rosalie mumbles out in anger.
"Cause- cause I know you don't eat, so of course" Bella said flinching from the glass breaking.
"Just ignore her, I do" Edward said.
"Yes, let's keep pretending this isn't dangerous for all of us" Rosalie said glaring.
"We would never, tell anybody anything" Bella said.
Carlise reassure, "She knows that"
"The problem is, you two have gone public now, so... " Emmett said receiving a look from Esme, "Emmett"
"No, they should know. The entire family will be implicated if this ends badly" Rosalie meant that mostly towards Bella rather than Amir.
"Badly as in" Bella said. This hangs in the air, uncomfortably. Edward can't look at her. Bella continue talking, "I- I would become a meal"
Emmett chokes back laughter. Edward grins. Wraps his arm around Bella. Even Esme has to chuckle.
Amir looks up seeing Alice again like it was the first time all over again. He then see Jasper. His eyes widen realizing he have found another one of his mates besides Alice.
Alice jump down from the tree, "Hi, Bella" Alice smiles at Bella. Jasper follows her. She bounces forward hugging Bella and hands Bella the wildflowers.
"Hi. Oh, you do smell good" Alice said. "Alice what are you-" he was then cut off by Alice.
"It's alright, Bella and I are going to be great friends" Alice said smiling. Jasper is just looking into Amir eyes while Amir looks back entrance.
"Sorry, Jasper our newest vegetarian. It's a little difficult for him" Carlisle said. Jasper then look over to Bella having a hard time around her. He seems to calm down a little around Amir.
"Pleasure to meet you" Jasper said. "It's ok, Jasper. You won't hurt her"
Edward takes Bella's hand instead. "Alright, I'm gonna give you a tour of the rest of the house"
"Well, I'll see you soon" Alice said looking at Bella smiling.
Edward shoots Alice a look, which Bella catches before he guides her up the stairs. Amir watch them walk away. He looks back at the family seeing them looking at him.
"Uh... hello" he said a little nervous. Esme smiles giving him a reassuring smile.
"Hello, I'm Alice. It's nice to finally meet you" Alice said stepping up looking up at Amir smiling.
"Nice to finally meet you as well" Amir gives her small smile. He then looks at Jasper who steps closer towards him. It was silent for a second before he embrace Amir into a hug smelling his scent.
"Jasper, you ok?" Alice asked.
"His smell calms me" he mumbles out hugging him. Amir just lets him hugging him back.
"Let's talk in our room" Alice said grabbing Jasper hand as he gently let go of Amir. Alice lead them to her room.
"You must be wondering why he acting like that. It's hard for him to control himself around Bella and you seem to calm him before he does anything" Alice said. Amir sits on the bed.
"I understand blood lust can have an effect"
"We also feel really drawn to you. We didn't know we have a third mate before I saw you in the hospital hallway. Do you know what mates is?" Alice asked. Amir nods.
"Yes, I do. I see it in you and Jasper. I'm not exactly normal myself and since you are my mates. I might as well tell the truth. I'm a Bear shifter, rare of my kind" he said seeing both of them listening to what he is saying.
"A Bear shifter. That is extraordinary. Never know your kind exist" Jasper said looking at Amir with his hands behind his back.
"Yea, we heard of wolf shifters, but not Bear shifters" Alice said.
"Like you feel drawn to me. I feel the exact same. I could see my future with you both. I wouldn't mind helping Jasper sometimes by standing next to him when around Bella or hugging him" Amir said giving him a smile.
"Thank you, that will be very helpful" Jasper said sitting next to him on the bed. Alice take a seat next to Amir.
"That's good that you feel the same because I can't stand to be away from you and Jasper" Alice said grabbing Amir hand. Jasper scoots more closer into him.
"Then don't force yourself anymore" Amir said feeling relax next to them. He started to get to know them more the rest of the day.
