A full moon comes up. Luminous, tinged with gold. Slowly, a penumbral shadow begins to spread across the moon's surface, darkening it from left to right. Until the moon is enveloped in shadow; a new moon... which disappears into the darkness. Over Black. Amir wakes up early to surprised Bella as she sleeps with Charlie and Mina.
Bella her eyes snap open. She lies atop her bed. A book, "ROMEO AND JULIET," lays open on her chest. Bella sits up. Charlie carrying two gifts, one wrapped, one not.
"Happy birthday, Bella" they said together. Amir smiles and claps.
"Dad and Mina, we agreed, no gifts" Bella said.
"At least mines and Minas not wrapped" Charlie said as he hands it to her. It's a digital camera. Bella's pleased, despite herself. "Okay, this is actually kind of great. Thanks, Dad"
"Goes with this one from your mom. We coordinated with Rene" Charlie said. Bella opens the wrapped gift to reveal a scrapbook.
"To put your pictures in, record your senior year -- man, senior year. How'd you get so old so fast?" Charlie asked.
"Not that old"
"I don't know. Is that a wrinkle?" Amir said pointing at her face. Bella races to the mirror, searches her face. They laugh.
"I was kidding" Amir said laughing. Bella roll her eyes "So not funny".
"It kind of is though" Amir said smiling.
Charlie and Mina walks out the room together to somewhere in the house.
"I got you a gift" Amir said pulling out a blanket.
"You didn't?" Bella asked looking at the wolf blanket Amir got her. He gives it her to her. "I have"
"Thank you for the blanket even though I asked for no gifts" Bella said holding the blanket.
"You're welcome. Have a good day at school Bells" Amir said walking out the room closing the door. He goes into his room seeing Alice and Jasper sitting on his bed. He smiles walking over to them.
Amir kisses Jasper lips first before kissing Alice lips softly. "Hello"
"Hi, Amy" Alice said excitedly smiling. Amir sittings between them. Alice hold his hand.
"We just wanted to stop by to say good morning before school starts" Jasper said calmly in his southern accent.
"That's nice of you. I don't really have anything planned today besides, helping my mom with the garden she makes in the backyard" Amir said rubbing his thumb on top of Alice hand.
"Sounds fun, I should have got you some seeds for the garden" Alice said.
"We should go now. School is starting soon, and Alice want to give Bella her gift at school" Jasper said standing up with Alice. Amir hugs them.
"Alright, have a good school day. I'll see you both later" Amir said standing up. Alice kisses his cheek and grab Jasper hand letting go of Amir hand.
"We will" Alice said smiling taking off out the window with Jasper. Amir smiles watching them out. He walks out his room to find his mom. She in the kitchen laughing at what Charlie said.
"Ready to do the gardening?" Mina said seeing her son in the hallway.
"Yes" Mina kisses Charlie cheek before walking off to the backyard. Amir take in the beautiful weather. How the clouds is slowly moving and the trees moving peacefully along with the breeze.
"I was thinking of growing some beautiful purple roses. What do you think?" Mina asked turning to her son.
"I'm sure that would be beautiful to grow. We could also grow some white roses" he suggested. Mina nods grabbing her bag and pulling out some roses seed packets. "You are lucky. I actually got 3 different kinds of roses. Red, purple and white"
"Do you think they will grow in this weather?" He asked.
"I think so. It wouldn't hurt to try. I'll water them every time I have to go to work" she said grabbing gloves and putting them on. She gives Amir some gloves. He wears them and gets to work with Mina.
"How Jasper and Alice been treating you?"
"They been treating me really well like I'm some prince" he said.
"You are a prince. Perhaps a king that should be treated right. It's good to know that they are treating you right" she said planting some of the seeds in the dirt holes they made.
"Charlie don't like Edward as much because of what have happen couple days ago. I also don't like him as well, but if she love him then there is nothing you can do about it" She said shrugging.
"Edward is a good guy. He has been loyal to Bella for a while. Just sometimes relationships have arguments and that is what happen that night" Amir said making more holes in the dirt.
"True, not every relationship is perfect. What counts is how much you put into it to fix the situation" she said putting the seeds in the dirt and covering them again.
"Exactly" Amir said nodding. They spend most of their time gardening while Bella and the Cullens at school. He didn't mind helping his mother with the garden. She always like flowers and roses. Her favorite plant is any blue flowers. Amir would always give her those on Mother's Day and birthdays.
Once he got done helping Mina with the garden, he walks to his room to get some clean clothes to change into. Amir take a shower, wearing a black shirt with blue jeans and denim jacket. Brushing out his long black hair in the mirror.
Amir used to dye his hair a lot to different colors. His most favorite color he likes to dye his hair color to is red. He mostly dyed it to blonde and black now because black his natural hair color. Got it from his mother thankfully. Nothing else reminded him of his father.
