Chapter 3

It's the next day and Alice haven't come at all to see Amir. It's been a couple hours and Amir walk to Bella room. He knocks on the door. Bella wasn't answering. He walks downstairs.

"Mom, you've seen Bella?"

"No, Charlie even ask me if I seen her. He's panicking" Mina said standing up. They walk outside to see Charlie.

Half the town is gathered - a tired rescue party that includes Mike Newton and Jacob Black. Mina walks beside Charlie, his face full of worry as he pores over a map with Billy Black, and Quileute Harry Clearwater.

"I'll call the Cullens again. Her note said she went with Edward on a walk" Charlie said.

"She did? She never told me she left" Amir said with his hands on his side.

"They left town, Charlie" Billy said.

"Hospital said Doc Cullen got a big job somewhere else" Harry said.

"We'll find her Charlie" Mina said patting his shoulder. Charlie is thankful for his girlfriend and friends.

"Charlie!" Jacob said Charlie spins to where Jacob points to a strong Quileute Indian with cropped hair and a fierce expression. He's carrying Bella.

"It's Sam Uley. He found her" Billy said. Charlie bolts to her, he's never moved faster in his life. He wraps his arms around Bella, lifting her from Sam's arms. "Thank you, Sam" Charlie carries Bella to the house, cradling her with Mina beside him. Amir follows. Harry and Billy give Sam a nod of praise and gratitude. But Sam backs away, avoiding any accolades. On Jacob jogging alongside Charlie, peering at Bella with worry.

Then Jacob slows, feeling eyes on his back... he turns to see Sam Uley staring at him. Jacob, uncomfortable, quickly looks away. Charlie holding Bella up the stairs to the house.

"What were you thinking, Baby? Why were you out there?" Charlie asked.

"He's... gone" Bella mumbles out. Off her as Charlie carries her inside her room.

"Who gone?" Mina asked turning to Amir.

"Edward probably. Jasper and Alice haven't told me anything. It's like they just up and left" Amir said thinking.
Mina rubs his back.

"They are out of town now"

"I know... " Amir mumbles out going to his room. He now knows why Alice didn't talk to him today.

Bella haven't been responding to Amir at all. She been in her depressed bubble. Alice and Jasper abandon Amir and he knows it now. It hurts him, but there is nothing he can do. Bella been having nightmares back-to-back making him exhausted. Amir birthday passed, he turn 23 and sadly they weren't there.

A door gets slammed shut and Amor look out the window seeing Charlie and Bella. He opens his window to hear them.

"That's it" Charlie said. "What?"

"You're going to Jacksonville to live with your mother" Charlie said.

"What? Why?" Bella asked.

"I just - don't know what to do any more. You don't act like someone left you; more like someone died" She looks away. That's how it feels to her.

"I'm not leaving Forks" Bella said. "Bells, the bastard's not coming back. It's not normal, this behavior. And frankly, it's scaring the hell out of me, Mina, Amir and your mother. Go to Jacksonville, Baby. Make some new friends" Charlie said.

"I like my old friends" Bella said.

"You never even see them anymore"

"I do, too. In fact, I'm... um... Jessica and I are going to Port Angeles tomorrow. Shopping" Bella said. "You hate shopping"
