At the Cullens house they are gathered talking. Amir is standing next to Alec and Jane. Holding Jane in his arms as Alec standing near them.
"Aro will want us incapacitated before he attacks" Edward said.
"Too bad we don't all have your shield" Garrett said facing Bella.
"Doesn't help me fight, though"
"No, but you could help the rest of us, if you could project it" Tanya said.
"What do you mean?" Bella asked.
"I mean shield someone other than yourself" Tanya said to Bella.
"Is that possible?"
"It can happen" Amir said as Carlisle agreeing. "Gifts can be developed. Over time"
"At first, mine was just in my palms. Now I can radiate it all over my body" Kate said.
"The same thing can happen for Bella if she practices" Alec said pointing out.
"And if she does then that shield can block anything" Jane said. Bella face towards Kate.
"How do you do it?" Bella takes Kate's hand, a little too hard. Amir cringe at that.
"Tell me" Bella said sounding like an order.
"Ow" Kate mumbles out taking her hand back. Kate and the other vampire try to help Bella develop her power.
"You need to visualize it. See how it moves. What color it is. Now picture it expanding. Will it to go beyond you" Kate said. Amir watches Bella tries but only manages to bring up her shield for moment.
"I think she needs something to motivate her" Kate suggesting. Edward steps forward. Bella shakes her head.
"No"
"It's all right, I can take it" Edward said.
"He says that now" Garrett said with his arms crossed smirking.
"He's going to end up on his ass" Alec said watching reading to see that happen.
"Focus, Bella, or he's going to be hurting" Edward puts his hand up ready to touch Kate's hand.
"Edward, I'm not ready to do this yet" Bella said. Kate touches Edward hand, sending a painful electric shock through him. Making him drop to the floor. Alec laughs as Amir try to hide his smile. Jane shakes her head.
"I'm sorry. I said that I wasn't ready" Bella said hesitantly.
"Dude, you're not motivating her" Emmett said shaking his head.
"You want to try?" Emmett puts his hands up and backs off. Bella tries again to use her power and Kate touches Edward, sending another electric shock through his body making Edward scream in pain. Alec continues to laugh making Jane laugh. Amir smiling shaking his head.
"Kate!" Bella said.
"You seem to lack incentive. Shall I go see if Renesmee's awake?" Kate said smirking.
"Are you crazy?"
"All right. This one's on full power" As Kate is about to touch Edward, Bella manages to bring up her shield and protects Edward from Kate's power when she touches him.
"It's painful, but it's bearable" Edward said.
"Okay, we should go again" Bella said.
"Emmett?"
"I'm good" Emmett said. Edward turns towards Alec. Alec stops laughing along with Jane.
"No thank you" Alec said. Amir laughs at that walking off going to spend some time with his son.
