Chapter 6

Inside the Cullen house. Seth and Leah sitting beside Amir.

"Sam's lost the element of surprise, and he doesn't want to take you on outnumbered, so he's not gonna come at you head on. He's got the place surrounded and he'll wait for his opportunity" Jacob said.

"We won't get through without a fight" Emmett said.

"Good, I would love to fight" Alec said. Jane agreeing.

"No fights. We won't be the ones to break the treaty" Carlisle said.

"But if it comes down to it. Technically I'm not breaking the treaty. I wouldn't mind helping" Amir said. Carlisle keeps that in mind.

"The treaty is void, at least in Sam's mind" Jacob mumbles out facing them.

"Yea, he's hard headed like that" Leah said.

"Even if we tried to convince him. He won't listen" Seth said.

"Not void in ours" Esme said. Emmett turns to Carlisle. "Carlisle, no one's hunted for weeks"

"We'll make do" Carlisle said.

"You've done us a great service, Jacob. Thank you"

At night, standing outside the Cullen's house. Amir joins Jacob snd Leah. Standing protectively beside her.

"I know they're out there somewhere, but I can't hear them anymore. It's so quiet" Jacob said.

"I stopped hearing them, too, the second I decided to leave. It's nice" Leah said. "You know you can't stay here"

"But I'm having a baby with Amir it's the only place I can go now" Leah said.

"I can't trust you with the Cullens. You hate them too much. You don't even like me" Jacob said.

"I'm ok around them now because of Amir" Leah said.

"Look, Seth doesn't want you here. Neither do I. Nor did Amir want you outside" Jacob said.

"I don't, but if she want to help her brother I'm in it to help" Amir said. Leah turns to Amir. "I'm wanted by Amir. It doesn't matter what you think" Jacob doesn't reply.

"Look, I'll stay out of your way. I'll do whatever you want, except go back to Sam's pack. I don't want to be around him anymore. I have Amir, my mate. I don't need him" Leah said.

"Just to break the connection" Jacob said. She nods her head in agreement.

"All right. I'm gonna do a perimeter run" Jacob said he takes off running.

"How long you want to be out here?" Amir asked.

"For a while before heading inside" She said looking up at him. Amir leans down and gives her a kiss making her smile and hold him close to her.

Carlisle looking at X-rays of the fetus in Bella. "Your rib is cracked. But there are no splinters. You haven't punctured anything"

"Yet" Edward mumbles out. "Edward"

"It's breaking her bones now. It's crushing you from the inside out. Carlisle, tell her what you told me. Tell her" Edward said with his arms crossed looking at her.

"Carlisle, tell me. It's all right" Bella said.

"The fetus isn't compatible with your body. It's too strong. It won't allow you to get the nutrition you need. It's starving you by the hour. I can't stop it, and I can't slow it down. At this rate, your heart will give out before you can deliver" Carlisle said looking at the X ray.

"Then I'll hold on as long as I can, and then... -" "Bella. There are some conditions that even venom can't overcome. You understand? I'm sorry" Carlisle said.

"Edward, I'm sorry" Bella said. Edward facial expression says it all. "I can't live without you"

"You won't. You're gonna have a part of me. He'll need you" Bella said.

"Do you honestly think that I could love it or even tolerate it if it kill you?" Edward said. Amir walks in to hear this along with Leah. Holding her hand.

" It's not his fault. You have to accept what is" Bella said. "Because you've given me no choice! Bella, we're supposed to be partners, remember? But you decided this on your own. You've decided to leave me"

"She didn't decided to leave you. She decided to have the baby" Amir said rolling his eyes knowing that Edward being dramatic.

"It's true, Edward" Leah said looking at him. Edward ignores them.

"Don't see it that way" Bella said.

"Well, I have no other way to see it. 'Cause it's me who'll lose you. And I don't choose that. I don't choose that" He turns an leaves passing by Leah and Amir. Jacob walks in.

"Are you cold?" Edward asked.

"I got it" Jacob said.

"Don't do that" Bella said. "What?"

"Smile like I'm your favorite person in the world" Bella said.

"You're one of them" Jacob said. "Feels complete when you're here, Jake" Bella looks like she's about to be sick again.

Carlisle checks Leah with the Device on her Belly. "The baby is healthy as good as normal with a steady heart beat."

"Thank you, Carlisle" Leah said. Carlisle nods.

"We need to find a way to get some food into Bella system" Esme said.

"Perhaps maybe something that the baby could actually eat. What else would it want?" Alec asked.

"If I could only see the fetus... "Alice said. Rosalie glare at her. "The baby... "

"Maybe I could figure out what it wants"

Jane think about what else could it want and blood just comes to mind.

"Think you might be right. Jacob and Jane just had an idea" Edward said.

"It wasn't an idea. It was a snide comment" Jacob said. Bella turns to Jacob then look at Jane "What were you thinking?"

"Blood" Jane said.

"That it's probably just looking for someone to sink its teeth into" Jacob said leaning back.

"He's thirsty" Bella said.

"I know the feeling. If it's craving, it's not gonna want animal blood" Edwaed said. Carlisle have an idea. "I have some O negative laid aside for Bella. Walk with me" Carlisle is pouring blood into a cup for Bella to drink. Alec and Jane walks away from the blood.

"Wait, wait, wait. You're gonna make her drink that?" Jacob asked.

"Yes, how else you suppose to do it? inject her" Leah said.

"You always putting your two cents into it" Jacob mumbles out.

"That's Leah for you" Amir said smiling down at her.

"It's the fastest way to test the theory" Carlisle said.

"Only if you're comfortable with it" Edward said to Bella. " I'll try anything"

"Just hold on" Edward said.

"I think I'm gonna be sick" Jacob said.

"I wonder how you will be when the pregnancy happens" Amir said laughing. They watch Bella drink the blood. "Tastes... good"

Edward smiles at her and Bella drinks more of the blood. "Mmm" Bella mumbles out. Carlisle takes her pulse.

"Your pulse is already getting stronger" Carlsile said.

"It's working" Esme said happily. Amir couldn't believe it's working. Amir search for Seth to spend time with him.
