A new day is a special day for Amir. Waking up next your mates is the best. Amir wakes up in bed with Alec and Jane cuddling him. He rubs Jane back and kisses Alec cheek before standing up.
"Where are you going?" Jane asked.
"The living room to spend time with my mom" Amir said grabbing a shirt and sliding it on. He changes out of his Pj pants into his black dress up pants. Putting on his leather Jacket.
"What are you going to do?" Jane asked.
"Pretty much talk to mom and eat breakfast. I'll see you both later" Amir leans down and kiss their cheek before going to the kitchen.
He gets some cereal with milk and walk to the living room. Sitting next to Charlie and Mina.
"What are you watching?" Amir asked taking a bite of his cereal.
"The news" Mina said cuddling into Charlie.
"Figures" He take another bite of his Cereal.
"You not going to change out your Uniform?" He asked Charlie.
"Not right now I just want to relax" Charlie said leaning back into the couch.
"Where's Bella?"
"Out with Edward. She can never get a break away from him" Charlie said groaning.
"Well, she does love him" Mina said.
"That's true, but sometimes I just want her to think it through with her choices with Edward" Charlie said looking at the News.
"It's hard to do that when you love someone" Mina responded.
"Are you sure it's love?" Charlie asked looking at her.
"I'm positive. The look is her eyes when she around him is pure love and happiness" Charlie groan again. Mina slaps his arm gently.
"Oh stop that" Amir laughs at that. Charlie read the news paper reading the Seattle Time. The headlines have "murder, Disappearances, Possible Work of Serial kill... " etc.
The article worries him. He checks his watch just as the front door opens. Bella enters, throws down her book bag. Charlie is looking at this watch.
"Four o'clock on the dot. Does he have a stopwatch or something?" Charlie asked.
"He has a name. And now he's too punctual for you?" she starts toward the stairs. "Wait a second, will you? Sit down" She pauses, then moves to a chair, sits. He faces her.
"Okay... You understand why you're being punished, right?" Charlie said.
"I know, I put you through hell" Bella said.
"Yes, you did. But I have other reasons, for grounding you. Like... I just want you to get some separation from him" Charlie said. Mina rolls her eyes clearly. Charlie wasn't listening to what she said earlier. "Dad, there is nothing you can say. Edward is in my life"
"Yeah, I'm gathering that. So, alright. How about this? I'll make you a deal. You're not grounded anymore, if... You use your newfound freedom... ... to see some of your other friends too, Like... Like Jacob" Bella darkens; a painful subject. Charlie notes this and continue, "He's going through a really tough time right now, His Dad's really worried about him"
"I remember when that was you. You needed a friend, Jake was there" Amir finish his bowl of cereal and walk to place it in the sink before going back into his room with Alec and Jane.

In the sheriff station that evening. Amir wanted to travel so he went with Bella and Edward. They enter. Charlie is behind the counter talking with a middle-aged couple.
"So, what was that at school? What did Alice see?" Bella said. Amir perked up at that.
"She had a vision?" Amir asked.
"Yes" Bella said looking at Amir then turning to Edward. He looks hesitant at first.
'Nothing. Something about Jasper. It was innocuous" Edward said. "I know you know what she saw. Tell us"
""It was nothing" Amir could tell he is lying.
"You looked worried" Bella said.
"That everyone would notice how strange Alice is" Edward said. Amir notice he lying again and look away listening to them.
"I think that ship sailed long ago" Bella said. Charlie looks up at Bella and Edward and subtly gestures for them to keep their distance. It could be interpreted as hostile.
"I wonder what's wrong" Edward said.
"There's someone missing in Seattle, over a year ago. Charlie is doing what he can" Amir said.
"Do you know something about this?" Bella asked Edward.
"We've been tracking the situation in Seattle for a while. Unexplained disappearances, kill... If the situation gets anymore conspicuous, the Volturi will step in"
"If they go to Seattle, they can come here. They can see I'm still human" Bella said. Edward steps up to her before talking, "We won't let it get that far. But we'll go to Seattle if we have to"
"I'll fax these down the first thing" Charlie said to the couple. "Thank you." Charlie approaches. Amir watching the anguished Biers exit.
"Hey" Charlie said. "Hey"
"You're ready for dinner? We just have to pick up Mina" Charlie said.
"Yeah" Charlie puts a picture into his case. It's Riley, from the opening. Exiting the Sheriff station. Amir exits as Bella flanked by Charlie and Edward. There's palpable tension between the two men. Amir sees the tension that someone can easily cut with some hair clippers.
"It is still just... you, Amir, Mina and I, alright?" Charlie asked.
"No, I'm just dropping her off. See you later" Edward said walking to his car. "Bye"
Edward starts to leave and stops turning to them. "Oh... Bella. My parents wanted to remind you about the... Airline ticket you got for your birthday"
"What airline ticket?" Charlie asked.
"A round trip ticket to see Mom in Florida" Bella said. "Wow, that was generous"
"And it expires soon, they say you might want to use it this weekend" Edward said.
"Well, I can't just drop everything and go" Bella said.
"Well actually you can like a vacation" Amir said putting his two thoughts in. Bella glare at him. He lift up his hands not wanting to cause a problem.
"It might be your last chance to see her before you graduate" Edward said. This lands with Bella.
"Well. It might not be a bad idea. get out of the town for a couple of days, get some distance" Charlie said as long as it away from Edward.
"Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing Mom... As long as you use the companion ticket" Bella said..
"Wait, just two tickets? Super, that makes me really happy" Charlie said disappointed. Amir couldn't hold his laugh back anymore. It causes Bella and Charlie to look at him.
