Tumawa ulit siya saka hinalikan ang mga kamay ni Leandra na nakatakip sa mukha nito bago maingat na kagat-labing pinadaan ang kamay sa ilalim ng leeg nito at mahigpit na niyakap.

Galit na sinalubong ni Leandra ng tingin si Leandro.

Hindi makasagot si Leandra at inilayo ang tingin.

Itinago ni Leandro ang ngiti nang maramdaman niya ang paninigas ni Leandra.
"I-I'm sleepy." Sagot ni Leandra saka nagtulog-tulugan.
Mukhang kailangan niya atang manatili sa bahay ng binata para ilayo ito sa anak nila.
