I just about manage to pull myself together and stumble into my apartment.

After a long cold shower to try and cool myself down I pick out a casual dress and slip it on.

I fix my hair and makeup and check myself in the mirror.

I decide to go down to the bar and get some lunch, I don't feel like wasting my day off stuck inside my apartment.

I get to the bar and order a coffee and a salad and grab a spare table.

I'm just taking a sip of my coffee when I hear someone call my name.

"Tessa? Right?"

I look up to see Mia staring back at me.

"Oh, Mia, hi."

"May I?"

She points to the seat across from me.

"Yes sure."

She sits down across from me.

(Good looks must run in the Jones's family because Mia is every bit as stunningly beautiful as the two men.)

"So how are you settling in so far? I hear you're from San Diego?"

"Yes I have lived in San Diego my whole life. I'm really enjoying it here so far, but as Will said I might be singing a different tune once I start work."

"Don't listen to him, he barely does a thing around here other than hit on all the guests and staff. Isaac is a good man, he's fair, but firm when it comes to work, so as long as you get the job done you'll have no trouble from him."

(Great I can't believe I let myself be one of the people Will hits on..... I'll have to put a stop to whatever it was we were doing, as much as he has the whole package, getting involved with a colleague would be a disaster waiting to happen.)

"Well I'm a hard worker so he won't get any trouble from me."

"So what brought you all the way from San Diego for this job, you already were a assistant hotel manager if I'm not mistaken?"

(Oh here we go with this again.)

"To be honest I just wanted a change and this job opening came at the perfect time."

Mia stares at me like she's trying to break me down, I can tell she's not buying the same excuse her brothers chose to believe.

"I don't know, I mean usually the main reason people travel so far away is to get away from their old lives, maybe because they are running away from something in particular?!......You didn't kill someone did you?"

My eyes nearly pop out of Mt head at Mia's question, I'm pretty sure she meant it as a joke but it definitely caught me off guard.

Before I even have a chance to respond a deep voice behind me causes me to jump.

"That's enough Mia!"

I turn to see Isaac glaring at Mia with a look of annoyance on his face.

"Oh relax, Tessa knows I'm only joking. You really need to relax a little Isaac."

"Well maybe if yourself and Will would do a bit of work around the place I wouldn't be so stressed out."

"Hey, don't even go there. Today is my day off, however Will is a totally different story. He was too busy swimming with our new employee here this morning."

(Oh for fuck sake that's all I need right now!)

I can feel my face redden as I turn away from Isaac. Mia stands up from the table and glances at me.
