Chapter 22

Last night Isaac held me in his arms after another steamy session, this time we managed to make it to the bedroom.

Even though I was mentally and physically exhausted from the day, I found myself staying awake longer than I should, savouring the feeling of being tucked safely in Isaac's arms.

My alarm clock ringing through the bedroom wakes us both up.

Isaac shuffles in the bed as I turn around to face him.

(How is it even humanly possible for someone to be this handsome first thing in the morning?)

"Good morning."

"Good morning to you too."

He leans in and presses a gentle kiss on my lips....even this slightest bit of contact sends fluttering sensations in the pit of my stomach.

"I better get going. I have to head home and get changed before work."

"Oh sure, no problem."

Isaac slips out of the bed and starts to get dressed. I can't help but stare in awe at his beautiful naked body.

"Are you still okay for tomorrow night?"

Isaac turns to me as he buttons his shirt closed.

"Yes, I am."

"Good. Well I will see you later at work."

"See you then boss."

Isaac smirks at me as he leaves the room and makes his way out of my apartment.

After I have a quick shower I pick out my outfit for today and do my hair and makeup. I glance in my mirror on my way out of my room.

I still have a good bit of time before I have to be in work so I make myself a coffee and decide to give Kayla a quick ring.

The phone rings a couple of times before I finally hear her voice on the other end.

"Hey Tessa..... How the hell are you?"

"Hi Kayla, sorry, things have been busy and I didn't really have any time to myself in the last few days."

"Too busy banging your boss?"

"Well.....yeah I guess that's part of the reason."

"You dirty dog you! He must be pretty good in bed?"

I let out a small sigh as my mind drifts back to Isaac and his powerful sexy body.

"Hmm.....pretty good doesn't even come close to describing it, but funny enough I didn't really ring you to spill all the details of my sex life."

"Awh well that's a pity. Why did you call so?"

"I mean apart from missing the hell out of my bestie..... It's about Troy."

I hear a slight pause on the other end of the line.

"That asshole?! What about him?"

"He's here."

Kayla almost deafens me when her voice shouts down the phone.

"What? You mean there as in with you? Oh no Tessa, please say you didn't sleep with him?"

"Oh for fuck sake Kayla, I'm not that big of an idiot, of course I didn't sleep with him. He turned up yesterday evening, declaring his love for me."

"What in the actual fuck? So I take it himself and your sister are no more?"

"Yes, he said he dumped her, that he regrets ever being with her and he asked me to take over managing the hotel."

"Okay.... I'm seriously confused right now. Why?"
