Chapter 61

It's been nearly a month since we had the news that Leo wasn't Isaac's son.

In that month we have went through a mix of emotions, but overall we are relieved that we can finally settle back into our lives minus the Diane drama.

Will broke up with Kelly the day after which I selfishly was delighted with. He hasn't met anyone since but he seems much happier in himself.

It's a Monday morning and I'm at work as usual. Isaac had to go out on business so he won't be back until later this evening.

I'm just after getting a phonecall from the hotel receptionist telling me there is someone at the reception desk wanting to speak with me.

I make my way out to the reception area and I stop dead in my tracks when I see who it is.

(What the fuck?)

I go to turn away and make a dart for my office when her voice calls me back.

"Please T.... Give me give five minutes?!"

(Ugh she always calls me T.... Even when I tell her how much it irritates me.)

I turn around as my sister approaches me cautiously.

"What on earth are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you."

"And you couldn't have done it over the phone?"

"Would you have answered me?"

I shrug my shoulders, we both know I certainly wouldn't have answered it.

"It's Troy.....he's dead."

I stare back at my sister as my eyes widen in shock.

"You knew he had cancer didn't you?"

"Um..... Yeah I mean he told me a couple of years ago but I thought he beat it?"

"He did.... But it came back and unfortunately there was nothing they could do."

"Right..... I don't even know what to say... I mean..."

"Look I didn't expect you to crumble and fall into pieces and I know you won't be going to his funeral, but I thought you would want to know. I know you hate us both and have done ever since we went behind your back and I completely understand that... But you can't deny you loved him once?"

"I did love him..... A very very long time ago. I can't say I feel anything right now...."

"I understand..... Do you think you'll ever be able to forgive me?"

"Louise..... Too much has happened. That hurt that you both caused me has left it's mark. Maybe in some way I have forgiven you both but I can never forget."

"I know.... I will spend the rest of my life being sorry for it. Are you at least happy now?"

"Very."

"I see you're married?"

She gestures to my wedding ring.

"Yes, married and we have two children."

"Oh my God.... So I'm an auntie?"

"Yes...I guess you are."

"Boys or girls?"

"One girl, one boy. Cora and Jack."

"Awh, just like you always wanted, one of each."

"Yeah. Look.... I really have to get back work...."

"Right.... Do you think I could maybe meet them later, before I go home tomorrow?"

"I don't know...."
