I sit there is utter shock as my eyes rake over Diane.... It's actually her, she's standing here in Isaac's parents kitchen... There's certainly no denying that.

"What's going on?"

I look anxiously to Isaac, who at this moment seems to be as shocked to see Diane here as I am.

"It appears mom decided to ring Diane and ask her over for dinner."

"Well of course I did.... Why wouldn't I?You there.... Who are you? You're sitting in Diane's chair."

Gina points accusingly at me, as much as I'm insulted I have to say it's a welcome change from being confused with Diane.

"Mom, I told you this is Tessa."

"Well she needs to move, she's sitting where Diane normally sits."

"Mom Diane and I are broken up.... She shouldn't be here."

My heart is racing in my chest right now. I don't know what to do or say to make this whole situation easier.

"That's nonsense..., that one.... She shouldn't be here, she's not family."

"Gina darling, calm down. Tessa here works in the hotel."

I can see Gina getting more agitated and confused by the second as she looks between Diane and I.

"Diane darling..... Go and sit down, she'll move."

Isaac reaches his hand under the table and places it firmly on my knee.

"Maybe I shouldn't have come?"

"Maybe? You definitely should not have come!"

"Isaac, don't you dare talk to Diane like that, she's family."

I turn to Isaac and whisper lightly.

"It's fine Isaac, I'll move."

"No, don't you dare."

"Do you want your mother to get more upset and confused? Honestly, it's not a big deal."

Before Isaac can fight me on this I push back in the chair and take the empty seat next to Will. He smiles apologetically as I sit down.

"That's better.... Now Diane, take your seat."

Diane makes her way over to the seat beside Isaac. I can't tell whether she's happy with the way this has gone or a little freaked, either way the thoughts of her sitting that close to Isaac, my Isaac gives me major rage inside.

Will leans in and whispers to me.

"Thanks for not upsetting her anymore, that could have escalated into something much worse."

"Yeah I kind of figured as much."

Everyone starts to eat in silence. I can't help glancing over at Isaac and Diane during dinner. Isaac looks like he'd rather be getting teeth pulled than be in the position that he's in right now, which definitely reassures me somewhat.

*NOW PLAYING AS ISAAC *

"Everyone would you please excuse Diane and I for a few minutes."

"Of course honey, your father and I know what it's like to be in love, wanting to be alone with each other all the time. Take your time."

(Just breathe..... She doesn't understand. Don't lose it with her.)

I leave the kitchen as Diane follows me outside onto the porch.

I turn around to face her with a serious expression on my face.

"Just what in the hell do you think you're playing at?"
