6 months later
Our wedding day has finally arrived.
I am currently at Mia's house getting ready. Will stayed with Isaac last night and Cora stayed with me.
I was over the moon when I heard Kayla could come. Her flight was late last night so she is meeting us at the hotel.
We decided we weren't going to do the whole bridesmaids and groomsen thing. It's just a small intimate ceremony on the beach.
"Here you are Tessa, get that down you. It will help with the nerves!"
Mia hands me a glass of champagne as we finish getting our hair and makeup done.
"Eh Mia, I'm actually not that nervous."
"Well I am, so drink up. Its my turn to be on the orange juice, seen as I'm your taxi driver for today."
"Okay, seen as I couldn't drink for your wedding because I was pregnant, I'll definitely enjoy this."
"Well I'm just finished the hair and makeup, do you want me to wake Cora from her nap and get her dressed?"
"Oh that would be great Mia, thanks. Her dress is in the room."
"I know, I can't wait to see it on her, she's going to look adorable."
I smile as Mia leaves the room. When the lady is finished my hair and makeup I make my way to the bedroom to get my dress orgainzed.
I'm just taking the dress out of it's cover when Mia walks in with Cora. She looks insanely cute.
"Oh my God..... Cora baby, you are so cute."
I pick her up and cuddle her. I can't wait for Isaac to see her.
"No missy, it's your turn to put on your dress. I'll watch Cora."
I hand Cora over to Mia and she leaves the room while I get dressed.
I slip on my dress and call Mia back in to help me do up the back. We both stare at each other in the mirror.
"My god Tessa, you are utterly stunning."
"Thank you Mia. It's comfortable which is alot more than I can say for the fifty other dresses you made me try on."
Mia chuckles.
"Awh I'm sorry sweetie but I just wanted to make sure you were certain of your choice. But this one is perfect on you. Oh hold on, I'll go grab your bouquet."
Mia hurries out of the room and she soon returns holding my beautiful bouquet of flowers.
"Thanks Mia."
"No problem. Now, let's get going. Kayla is waiting for us at the hotel, she wants to see you before the ceremony."
"Okay.... Let's do this."
We all head out to Mia's car, herself and Rob offered to mind Cora for the night so she's not drinking.
It's only a short drive to the hotel. I'm dying to see Isaac, it was the first night he spent away from Cora and he really missed her.
Everyone is already down on the beach getting ready for the ceremony. I am just inside the lobby of the hotel waiting for Kayla.
I hear a screech come from behind me. When I turn around I see Kayla with her hands over her mouth as she takes me all in.
"Oh my word.... Tessa..... You look absolutely stunning."
Kayla pulls me into her arms as she starts to become emotional.
"Awh Kayla, please don't start crying..... You'll set me off."
"Hey hey hey! There will be no ruining the makeup. You can wait until after the ceremony!"
"Sorry.... I'm just so happy to see you. And Cora is absolutely adorable. She looks so much bigger than in the photos you sent me."
"Yeah, she's getting big alright. The time is just flying by."
"Yes, well speaking of the time girls, I think they are all waiting on you Tessa."
"Ooh.... I better go and take my seat. I'll see you after for a proper catch up."
"Definitely!"
"Okay.... This is it. Are you ready to become Mrs. Jones?!"
"I'm more than ready."
We head out towards the beach. Mia goes ahead as she carries Cora with her.
As we get closer I see the small handful of guests sitting on their chairs waiting for me to arrive. My eyes then lock on to the back of Isaac, his beautiful muscular frame, even visible through his suit.
My stomach flutters with the excitement as I slowly start to make my way up the sandy path.
When Mia reaches Isaac he kisses Cora before they take their seats.
Just before I reach the top Isaac turns around to catch a sneaky glance at me and we both smile. A sudden wave of calm brushes over me when I finally reach his side.
The ceremony is short and sweet and it's time for us both to say our vows, with me going first.
I smile at Isaac before I begin.
"Boss, I don't even know where to begin. What started off as just a 6 month job opportunity turned into the best decision of my life. From the very first moment I met you, I knew there was something special about you and I know it may have taken a while to break you down I finally got to see the real Isaac, my savior. I never thought a love like this even existed but I was wrong. This all feels like a dream, that I get the honour of being your wife. I promise that I will spend the rest of our lives together loving you unconditionally and I will stand by your side through any hard times we may incur. Isaac Jones you are the love of my life, my best friend and my soul mate. I love you."
A couple of tears escape the corner of my eyes as I finish my vows. Isaac smiles at me as he takes a deep breath ready to speak.
"Tessa Simmons, you came into my life like a little hurricane and I thank my lucky stars every day that you did. You have taught me so much since we met. I never thought I would ever open myself up to anyone or be able to trust anyone ever again but you were persistent, you didn't give up on me even when I gave up on myself and I will be forever grateful for you for doing that. I still can't believe that I am the lucky man who gets to spend the rest of his life with you. I get to be your husband and father to our beautiful baby girl. Thank you for sticking by me and I promise that I will never leave your side and I will love with all that I am. I love you so much Tessa."
We both are emotional when we finally get to kiss each other. I have been dying to feel his lips against mine since I laid eyes on him.
Everyone claps and cheers as we walk hand in hand back towards the hotel.
"We did it.... We're actually married."
"It's crazy..... It felt like this day would never get here back when we set the date."
"I'm glad to finally get to call you my wife."
"So am I boss, so am I."
We make our way into the reception room and join the family.
I'm in a perfect bubble of happiness right now. I have the little family that I had always dreamt about and it feels amazing. I know this is only the beginning of our story, we have so many more memories to make and I can't wait to get started.
