Chitose hadn't spoken to her parents since she moved to the city to be with Miyamura more. Her family lived in Okinawa, so she grew up to be an outdoorsy kid. She rarely even talks to her only big sister, Haname. Chitose's sister Haname was truly gifted in sports. Haname was part of the girl's basketball team in her high school, and was even offered a full scholarship to go to a athletics university in Tokyo. But Haname was a loyal and caring person, so she turned down the offer and stayed in Okinawa. Since Chitose's parents, Fuyuko and Junichiro, were mad at Haname for not taking the scholarship to the big-leagues. They kicked her out of the house when she was only eighteen, and told her to "Try and make your own way in life now! We can't always be there to help you!" After that, Chitose never saw her sister Haname again. Sure, they met up for the first few months after she left, but after that they became distant. Chitose didn't want her big sister to go. Chitose was only eleven, after all. Living with her parents was suffocating, but Haname loosened the grip.

Flashback

"I'll come back for you, alright Chi?" Haname pat her little sister's head as Chitose sobbed. "I want to come with you, Hana-chan! Please, let me come with you!" Chitose begged her sister who just smiled at her. "Wait for me, 'kay?" Haname tried to hold back tears as she grabbed her bags and left the house for good. "That girl doesn't know what's best for her. She has to understand how hard it really is out there. I love Haname, but sometimes she's just too much." Fuyuki, Chitose's mother, covered her face with her hands as Chitose's father, Junichiro, pat her back. "Now she'll understand how weak she would be out there. She'll come back and re-accept the offer soon." He said, looking down. "What if she doesn't come back?" Fuyuko looked at her husband, her eyes red filled with tears. "She will." Junichiro replied reassuringly. But she never came back. Chitose always blamed her parents for what happened.

Flashback ended

Suddenly, Chitose's phone buzzed from her pocket. Hoping it was Miyamura, Chitose hastily took it out and saw... it was her mom. Chitose sighed and answered the phone. "Yes, Okaasan?" She tried to sound as happy as she could. "Chitose, come home now," her mother said in a rather excited tone, which caught Chitose off guard. "Hm? Why would she be excited?" She put a finger to her chin cutely as she asked why she needed to come home. "Haname sent a postcard from Hokkaido, she's visiting us in two days!" Her mother sounded happy and cheerful, and Chitose's eyes widened. "Haname? Are you sure it's her? We haven't seen her in years, so why now?" Chitose asked her mother curiously as she chuckled over the phone. "Haname' s been travelling around Japan, being more independent than we thought. She says she has an important announcement to make, so you best start packing to head home tomorrow." Chitose's mother said in a giddy tone as Chitose felt a spark of excitement in her as well. "Sure, Okaasan! I'll be home tomorrow." Chisote said in a cute tone as she said her byes to her mother and ended the call. "Hana-chan? Really? I'm so excited to see her again! Maybe we'll hang out and get pancakes like we used to!" Chitose thought to herself happily as she skipped to her apartment to pack.

The next day, Chitose found herself on a train back to her hometown, Okinawa. She looked out the window and saw her whole childhood racing by in front of her. She remembered all the time of Haname, and her desire to see her big sister only deepened. "Okinawa station. All passengers reporting to Okinawa station, exit." The PA sounded throughout the whole train as Chitose put on a wide smile and waltzed out, and she was greeted by her parents. "Oh, Chitose! How happy we are to see you! It's been five months!" Fuyuko, Chitose's mother, hugged and kissed her on the cheek. "When we get home, you can rest in your room immediately." Junichiro, Chitose's father, took Chitose's suitcase and put it in the back of their car. "Thanks, Okaasan and Ottosan! Good to see you too!" Chitose went into th car as her parents did the same, and they drove back to their house.
