As soon as Miyamura and Megumi landed in Paris, a fancy white car was waiting for them in front of the airport. It was late afternoon when they arrived, and both of them fully intended to relax in their hotel and wander around the next day. "Megumi-chan, you know how to speak French, right?" Miyamura asked, the chauffeur loading both his and Megumi's bags into the back of the car. When they were both in the back seat, Megumi looked out the window, her eyes lighting up as they drove through the bustling but elegant streets of Paris. "You know, I've been here before, but I never remember Paris being as beautiful as this," Megumi put her fingers on the windowsill and looked back at Miyamura, "Maybe it's just because I'm with you this time." Megumi smiled, and a pink tint reached Miyamura's cheeks. "You can't expect me to answer to something as cute as that," Miyamura sighed, leaning back onto his car seat.

"Cute? Do you like it when I'm cute?" Megumi looked at Miyamura with wide eyes, removing her fingers to the windowsill. "I think you're cute all the time, Megumi-chan. But to answer your question, I guess so. I love every version of you, including your vulnerable side." Miyamura smiled to himself, as Megumi brought out her phone and took some photos of the scenery. "Hey, Izumi," Megumi said as she took the photos, her eyes completely focused on her phone. "Yeah?" Miyamura turned her way, and Megumi was facing him, her eyes looking hesitant, and her face looking flushed and embarrassed. "Megumi-chan, are you okay?" Miyamura was about to reach for Megumi's arm, but then she did something that he never would have expected.

"Chu." Megumi said in a rather unenthusiastic voice, looking a bit grumpy, her eyebrows furrowed. "CHU?!" Miyamura thought, his mind going crazy. A normal person would've said, "Why does she look so scary?" Or, "Is that supposed to be cute?", but Miyamura found it to be totally, abominably cute. Miyamura's face went red and grateful tears running down his cheeks. "You are so cute, Megumi-chan," Miyamura cried, throwing his arms around Megumi's waist. "Is it really that easy to make you flustered?" Megumi grouched, her shoulders slumping. "If it's you, then yes." Miyamura dug his nose into Megumi's chest. "You're being kind of perverted right now." Megumi mumbled, and it was then that Miyamura realised where his head was. "Oh! S-sorry, Megumi-chan." Miyamura moved away, his face flushed. "You don't have to say sorry. We're married." Megumi answered, not being bothered at all.

...

At the hotel, Megumi and Miyamura got to unpacking their stuff straight away, and then they would relax at the hotel and wander around Paris the next day. "Izumi, are you hungry? I could cook you something." Megumi suggested, taking out some pots and pans from a cupboard in the kitchen. "Mhm, that would be nice. Don't overwork yourself, though." Miyamura answered, unpacking his and Megumi's clothes. "Okay, there is already some food in the fridge I can use... I can cook Izumi's favourite Salisbury steak! Let me get the meat from the freezer," Megumi thought to herself, opening the freezer and inspecting it for meat. Megumi looked everywhere, but she couldn't find anything. "Eh?! No meat? I don't know how to cook anything except Salisbury steak!" Megumi turned as pale as a ghost, as the looked at the empty freezer in horror. "Megumi-chan? Are you okay?" Miyamura tilted his head, hearing Megumi's shocked noise. "Y-yes. I'm fine. I just misplaced something," Megumi closer the freezer door, unsure about what she was going to do. "I can't back out now! Izumi is expecting a nicely cooked, delicious meal. Part of a wife's responsibility is cooking acceptable meals for your husband." Megumi's mind was raging, and then she had an idea. "Oh! I can cook curry. That's easy. You can't mess up curry." Megumi's spirit lifted, and she smiled sweetly to herself as she brought out the pans and vegetables to use.

As Megumi cooked, Miyamura unpacked with anticipation, excited to taste Megumi's cooking after eating her delicious salisbury steak. "I can't wait to taste Megumi-chain's cooking! I can smell it from here, it smells good." Miyamura drowned himself in the sweet but savoury aroma coming from the pot in the kitchen. Meanwhile, Megumi was somewhat struggling. "I know how to cook the broth, but I have no idea if I measured everything correctly! The vegetables to broth ratio should be pretty even though... I think..." Megumi thought as she skinned then chopped some potatoes then put them into the pot. "Well, it smells good. So I'll trust it. Maybe." Megumi smiled to herself stirring the curry.

In ten minutes, the curry was done. Megumi got a plate from one of the drawers and added some rice; then added the curry which consisted of the broth, potatoes, and carrots. "I worked very hard on this. I hope Izumi likes it." Megumi took the plate with two hands and walked up to Izumi, her hair bouncing to match her floaty mood. "Oh, you're finished, Megumi-chan?" Izumi looked up from the two suitcases he was pushing into the corner, and sat down onto the table as Megumi put down the plates of curry for him. "Mhm," Megumi smiled as Izumi inhaled the wonderful scent coming from the food. "Thank you for the food!" Miyamura exclaimed enthusiastically as he excitedly took a big spoonful of Megumi's curry and shoved it into his mouth. Megumi smiled happily as her hands clasped together, waiting for Miyamura's reaction.

"Oh... my.." Miyamura sounded like he was choking, and his whole face went a shade of purple. "Izumi, are you okay?" Megumi asked, concerned as she tilted her head. "Yeah, I-I'm fine." Miyamura put a hand over his mouth, trying to stop himself from vomiting. "This... tastes like my nightmares," Miyamura realised what he was thinking, and quickly shook it off. "You can't say that about Megumi-chan's cooking! She worked hard on this." Miyamura thought to himself and swallowed the food, after much struggling. "Is it good, Izumi?" Megumi asked, her eyes wide and curious. "Yes, your cooking is very delicious, Megumi-chan." Miyamura had to lie. He had to do it to make Megumi happy.

"Really? I'm glad! You should eat more then, you must be hungry." Megumi suggested. Inside, Miyamura felt like his mouth was burning in the pits of hell, but he stayed strong. "You're right." Miyamura nodded hesitantly, picking up the spoon again and shoving the curry into his mouth. It was abominably disgusting. But Megumi was only human after all, she couldn't possibly be good at everything. "This-," Miyamura gagged, and Megumi flinched. "Izumi?" Megumi tilted her head, and Miyamura nodded, his face going green.

"Yeah, I am. This is delicious. Thank y-you, so much." Miyamura's gag reflex was kicking in, so he curled his toes to stop it. "It's no problem. I'm your wife now, so it is only normal that I cook for you. When we're back home, I can cook more for you, if you'd like." Megumi proposed, clasping her hands together. "No!" Miyamura answered a little too quickly, and Megumi grew suspicious. "I mean... I wouldn't want to burden you to cook for me. Really, it's okay." Miyamura redeemed himself, and Megumi smiled. "No, I insist! I don't mind cooking for you at all, in fact, I love cooking for you. It makes me happy knowing that I make you happy." Megumi confessed, and Miyamura felt the guilt of lying to her. But Miyamura also knew that telling Megumi that her cooking wasn't exactly enjoyable would crush all of her hopes and dreams. So, he ended up agreeing. "Okay. You can cook for me when we get home. I won't object anymore." Miyamura brought himself to say, even though he knew that agreeing to tasting Megumi's cooking constantly would be a death wish. But if it was for Megumi, then he would gladly die.

A/n: I have some chapters of the spin-off story written! I will take this author's note as an opportunity to explain.
When all of Megumi's firstborn/s are born, then the spin off story will be released. The spinoff will be in a future timeline (when Megumi and Miyamura are in their forties) and the story will revolve around their children and will rarely focus on them. However, this story will continue in it's own timeline while the other story occurs in the future. I don't know if that makes sense, but that is what I am going for.
