Megumi and Miyamura went away from the meeting, and as they were walking out of the office, Megumi received a call from an unknown number. Hesitating, she answered and put the phone on her ear. "Megumi." It was her grandfather's voice. She knew it. Megumi was about to hang up, what her grandfather suddenly started speaking. "I know you don't want to do this. So I'm giving you a choice," He said, and Megumi quickly stopped herself from ending the call as Miyamura looked at her in curiosity. Megumi listened intently and put the phone on speaker so Miyamura could hear. She wanted to share everything with him. "You can either leave to go to Harvard without having to marry Itsuki Sora, or have the choice to stay here but have the role of Itsuki Sora's wife. Permanently. Make your decision in a week, or we will automatically send you off and marry Sora. Goodbye, my granddaughter." Hariyuki instantly hung up the phone after launching his proposal, and Megumi and Miyamura were left wide eyed.
They stood together on a bridge, looking out onto a lake. They both stood there for a while in silence. Even with the silence, they were comfortable in each other's presence. And that was all they needed. Megumi and Miyamura both knew that. Megumi put her hand on top of Miyamura's. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you." Megumi turned to look at him as his eyes widened. "That's why..." Megumi looked deep into his eyes as she smiled. "I want to run away and get married. With you, Izumi." She suggested with no hesitation, cupping her hands around his face and pulling him down so their eyes were right in front of each other (Megumi's height is about up to Miyamura's nose). Megumi looked determined as Miyamura found himself locking his lips onto hers as she held the grasp on his cheeks. The kiss was passionate and loving, making them forget about all the chaos that was happening around them and the situation that they were in.
Megumi broke the kiss, and Miyamura was wearing a guilty look on his face. Megumi noticed this and tilted her head. "Megumi..." Miyamura sighed, holding Megumi's hands. "I.. I will only ruin your life if we do this." Miyamura looked into Megumi's eyes as he saw his own reflection in them. "N-no! I... want you to ruin my life. Please, I don't care if my life is left in pieces, I just want to be with you." Megumi stepped closer to him as Miyamura's guilt only deepened. "You have so many things in life waiting for you. I don't want you to pass on thr life you've always dreamed of because of me." Miyamura tried to reason with Megumi, but she shook her head, tears escaping from her eyes. "My dream is for my life to be yours! I would rather die than not be with you!" Megumi yelled out, holding Miyamura's hand and looking down, sobbing with tears falling down and staining the pavement of the bridge.
Miyamura suddenly held both of Megumi's shoulders, causing her to jolt up and look at him. "Don't say that! Don't you dare say that Megumi! Go to Harvard and study hard. I just want you to be happy-." Miyamura felt a sudden anger rise from inside him as he was interrupted. "Don't you understand, Izumi?! I am happy with you! I love you." Megumi put gently pressed her fist against Miyamura's chest as tears continued flooding her beautiful black eyes. Miyamura felt tears running down his face as well, and he carefully held Megumi's fist and put it down to rest. "I love you too. So please, go to America. I promise that we will meet again." Miyamura held her hand and kissed the promise ring that was put on her ring finger as her tears were suddenly put to a rest.
"I trust you. Come and find me someday."
.....
"Goodbye, Miyamura Izumi. Until we meet again."Megumi and Miyamura's tears both came to a halt as she gave him a warm closed eye smile, her face glistening like a goddess in the sunset. Miyamura smiled back as she slowly walked away, not looking back as her short, dark sapphire hair swayed in time of the wind. When Megumi left, Miyamura was left there on the bridge, smiling to himself as he looked up at the sunset. "I will find you again, someday. Somehow."

"Hello, anata!" Ai Takeshita kissed her husband Makoto as Megumi suddenly stopped colouring in her drawing and witnessed this kiss as she stuck her tongue out. "Ew, stop kissing, Ottosan and Okaasan!" Little Megumi said with a disgusted face. The two chuckled as Makoto went up to his daughter and pat her head. "Well thats what couples do when the're in love." Makoto smiled at Megumi as Ai sat next to her husband. "I never ever want to fall in love!" Megumi said determined as Ai and Makoto both chuckled once more. "Oh, but you will sweetie. You will." Ai told her daughter as Megumi scoffed.I always thought I was incapable of human love.
Little did I know that...
I would fall in love with you.
When I first met you, I was preplexed by you.
I couldn't read your face like everybody else.
I wanted to see beyond your diamond eyes.
So, I became friends with you.
I was cold and vile.
I don't normally warm up to people, but you changed me.
It took some time, but, I fell in love with you.
You fell first, but I know that I fell harder.
Everyday I wake up and wonder what life would be like if I wasn't this way.
If I wasn't part of the Takeshitas.
If I had free will.
If I could spend the rest of my life with you.
But I know things like that are destined to stay in my mind.
You showed me a world I didn't know existed.
And all I want...
Is to be with you, Miyamura Izumi.- Megumi Takeshita

The next day, Megumi left. She didn't say a word about it to anyone, not even Akenon. Miyamura was cooped up in his room, his mother putting food outside his door every now and then. He wanted her to come back so badly. But Miyamura knew it was for the best to make her leave. It was the best for Megumi, at least.Unexpectedly, Miyamura heard stomping coming from the corridor outside his room. His door burst open, and he squinted his eyes from the sudden light. It was Akenon, with fresh tears glistening in her eyes and her eyebrows furrowed.
The stomped over to Miyamura and shook his shoulders violently. "MIYAMURA?! WHERE'S SHINON-SAMA?! WHERE IS SHE!?" Akenon yelled at Miyamura as she looked at him with bloodshot eyes. "She's..." Miyamura couldn't say it and looked away from Akenon as she continued shaking him aggressively. "WHERE'S SHINON-SAMA?! PLEASE!" Akenon pleaded as Miyamura's eyes widened. He took a deep breath.
"Megumi is in America. She left. And she won't be back for years." Miyamura said with a slight crack in his voice. Akenon let go of him and lost her balance and started stumbling. She gripped her hair with her hands. "No... It can't be... Shinon-sama would stay here with me..." Akenon fell to the ground as tears fell from her eyes and stained her face. Akenon shot her head and glared at Miyamura.
"YOU'RE LYING!" She yelled at Miyamura one last time as she ran out of the room, wanting to prove Miyamura wrong. But deep inside, she knew he was right.
Megumi was gone.
