it was the day that Megumi would be discharged from the hospital, and Miyamura had been by her side for the whole time. "Miss Takeshita?" A female doctor came in holding a clipboard. "Yes, doctor?" Megumi replied, assuring the doctor that she had come to the right room. "You will be discharged in an hour. I advise to get all of your things ready." The doctor smiled at Megumi who smiled back. "I'll help you, Megumi-san." Miyamura added as he got up to help Megumi pack, and the doctor left.
After Megumi finished packing with Miyamura's help, her whole family arrived to help take her home. Everyone in her family was so i invested in her, and Miyamura couldn't help but be jealous of her big family. Then, Megumi's dad Makoto went up to him unexpectedly, which caused Miyamura to become beyond nervous. He had never met Megumi's parents before, and her dad looked quite intimidating while her mother looked kind, which was a lot of contrast. "Thank you for looking after my daughter." Makoto bowed in thanks as his wife did the same. "N-nothing to thank me for!" Miyamura chuckled as he rubbed the back of his neck.
Megumi smiled at him sweetly from behind her parents as he smiled back. Oh how much he loved that smile. "Would you like to have dinner with us? Consider it as a thank you." Megumi's mother Ai grinned, who had the famous dark blue hair that all Megumi and her siblings took after. "I would love to! Thank you, Mr and Mrs Takeshita!" Miyamura bowed formally as the couple smiled. "We expect you at our house tomorrow at 6 then." Ai set the date as she pat Miyamura's shoulder.

Makoto TakeshitaA successful man with a rather cold tsundere exterior, but if you get a place in his heart (which very little people had accomplished), he will reveal himself to be a very caring and loyal man. When Makoto met Ai in university, he was one of the 'populars' while Ai wasn't. He met Ai when they were assigned to do a computer sciences project together. He soon learnt to be kinder under her influence, and fell in love with Ai the moment he laid eyes on her.

Makoto's wife, and one of the very few people he has a soft spot for. In the university where Ai and Makoto met, Ai wasn't a popular person. Ai's exterior was kind and caring, but her interior... not as much. Inside, she was a woman who was determined to not have anyone win her heart. Her outside personality fooled everyone, but she was truly a lonely person. But then she met stubborn and reckless Makoto. Ai eventually fell in love with him, with time.

"Ah, anata?" Ai caught Makoto's attention (anata means darling). "What is it, woman?" Makoto replied. Even though Makoto was cold to his wife on the outside, on the inside he worshipped her like she was a goddess. "I wanted to say, 'you look so beautiful today, Ai-chan.' But I can't!" Makoto thought as Ai tilted her head. "I wanted to ask you what I should cook for dinner with Miyamura-san." Ai smiled sweetly at her husband, and Makoto turned the other way, trying to hide his overflowing, bloody nose. "She's such an angel!" Makoto thought, praising Ai. "Just cook whatever, I don't care." Makoto collected himself, hiding his true thoughts. "Okay, anata! I will check on Megumi-chan and her brothers." Ai pecked Makoto on the lips which made his nose bleed even more. Even though they were married with five children, Makoto was still smitten since the first time he saw her."We're sorry, Miyamura-san for misunderstanding your intentions. And thank you for looking after our sister." Megumi's brothers Toshiro and Yamato bowed in apology for what happened last time they saw each other. Megumi gave the two a stern look. "I-It's okay." Miyamura replied while chuckling awkwardly. Then Megumi averted her gaze to Touma, who refused to apologise. "I'm not doing it." Touma grumbled as he shoved his hands into his pockets. "Touma, you behaviour that day was worse than everyone's. You should be apologising to Miyamura." Megumi scolded her older brother. "You really don't have to, I can-." Miyamura was about to let Touma off the hook when Megumi butted in. "Miyamura! Anyway, Touma, I just got stabbed in my abdomen. Can you at least do this one favour for me?" Megumi pleaded and gave her reasons as Touma gave in. "Sorry, Miyamura-san." He muttered, obviously annoyed as he shuffled his feet. Kiyoshi didn't have to apologise, since he was the only one behaving that day.
The next day was the day Miyamura was supposed to come over for dinner as a token of gratitude and a chance to get to know him better from Megumi's parents. The doorbell rang at the Takeshita mansion, and Megumi rushed over to open it. Miyamura was wearing a white t shirt with a thick brown blouse as a jacket, the sleeves were folded up to his elbows, and he wore some jeans. Megumi wore a button up cotton, long sleeved white shirt with a sage green plait pencil skirt, along with a white headband in her hair. Miyamura blushed a bit as Megumi peeked in from inside, leaning forwards a bit. "Oh! Why hello, Miyamura-kun. You can come in!" Megumi opened the door wider as Miyamura took off his shoes and let himself in. "Thanks, Megumi-san." He smiled as Ai and Makoto, Megumi's parents, went over to greet their guest. "Miyamura-san! Lovely to see you again." Ai hugged him lightly and quickly as Miyamura said let out a "hello". Makoto shook Miyamura's hand firmly and nodded.
When everyone was at the table, there were a variety of foods layed out in front of them. "I got some of the maids to cook the western food, I don't know a lot about their cuisine." Ai chuckled as she cut some of the juicy steak and put it down on her plate. The Takeshita's had a few maids and housekeepers often wandering around the house doing duties. While everyone ate, they had a long discussion about schooling. Miyamura brought up that his parents owned a bakery, and Makoto seemed impressed. Though he may not look it, but he had a sweet tooth. "Should I bring over some drinks, Megumi-sama?" one of the maids said, and she seemed to be in her mid twenties, near Yamato's age. The lady had light pink, almost white hair, which seemed to run in her genes. She had grey eyes, which were flattering to her hair colour. "Maybe some yuzu juice would be nice, Igarashi-san." Megumi told the maid. Megumi had purposely asked the lady to get Miyamura's favourite drink, which he was appreciative of.
As Igarashi was getting Yamato's empty glass to wash it, then suddenly her face turned and Igarashi found herself staring straight into Yamato's eyes. Their faces were centimetres away from each other, and the tension was real. Igarashi had not stared into Yamato's beautiful eyes for the longest time, she couldn't help but be mesmerised in them for just a minute longer. Yamato missed Igarashi's seemingly dull orbs that gave him life. Both of their eyes widened as the two came to their senses, and Igarashi looked away and continued with her duties.

Inori Igarashi and Yamato TakeshitaInori is a maid of the Takeshitas, and the Igarashi family have been serving them for quite a long time. Inori is a loyal and convenient girl, willing to help out around the house whenever she can. Inori had basically been raised alongside the Takeshita's, but the one she was always with was Yamato, since they were near the same age. He was her childhood and best friend until he left middle school. Since then, Yamato had been overly serious about his studies that he wasn't able to talk or interact with Inori, which gave her a sense of loneliness.
It got even worse in Yamato's last years of high school. Even though they saw each other everyday, it was never the same as it was. The week Yamato left for university, Inori couldn't help but wonder how it would've been if Yamato stayed in the Takeshita mansion. If he'd stayed with her. But she knew how dedicated he was. Since then, there was a silence between the two that could never be broken.

"So, Miyamura-san," Makoto, Megumi's father, called the boy as his face shot up from his food. "What university are you planning to attend after graduating Katagiri?" The man asked, which surprised Miyamura a bit. "I'm thinking of going to Nihon Toitsu." Miyamura answered, setting down his fork (that's not a real university btw). Megumi's mother Ai smiled and clasped her hands, tilting her head to the side. "That's where Yamato is enrolled! What a coincidence!" She said gleefully as Miyamura smiled. "That's a good school, indeed. It's a shame Megumi is going to-." Makoto was about to say something rather important until Megumi shook her head while looking at her father, which came to him as a signal to stop. The rest of the night was enjoyable, which was surprising because Touma and Toshiro didn't cause any problems, which could be because their mother shut them up. Yamato couldn't help but stare at Inori as she preformed her maid chores the whole night, seeing how gracefully she moved and how she tucked her hair behind her ears. For some reason, he saw her in a different way than he saw her before. The silence between them shifted their thoughts on each other, much to Inori's obliviousness.
(A/n: Now introducing Inori Igarashi x Yamato Takeshita! The assistant/maid and the rich guy is one of my favourite anime tropes ever created. It's really fun writing Inori's character, and I honestly want to give her her own spinoff chapter, if that's possible. The first twenty chapters were centred around Megumi and Miyamura, but I want to try adding arcs and chapters dedicated to other characters to shine some light on them as well. So, expect more spinoffs of varied characters! - 1754 words)
