"Let's hope that our children aren't causing any trouble out there." Ai chuckled as she sipped on her champagne, along with Suzume. "Well, they are both well-mannered, lucky for us." Suzume replied, which earned another laugh from Ai. Meanwhile, Soshite and Makoto were talking business, and they were standing in a corner of the ballroom, each holding a glass of sparkling water and a fear of getting drunk. Yamato was trying to get away from the many suitors asking for his future hand in marriage, Touma was silently watching over Megumi and Sora, his eyes red from anger, and Kiyoshi was waltzing around the room being the cute social butterfly he is. "Seems like we are the odd ones out." Toshiro sighed, standing next to Sachi on the outskirts of the ballroom, just next to the food table. Sachi let out a 'hm', and looked at Toshiro for a moment. "I know your name, but I won't guarantee you know mine." She said, taking a small grape from the food table and popping it into her mouth, and crossing her arms straight after.

"Your name is Sachi Itsuki," Toshiro suddenly spoke up, though he continued looking into the swarm of guests dancing and enjoying themselves in the centre of the ballroom. "You are the big sister of Sora Itsuki also daughter of Suzume and Soshite Itsuki, thirteen years old, and also painfully average." Toshiro passively insulted her as she gasped at the insult and turned to face him. "Average? You shouldn't insult your elders like that." Sachi shot back, pretty irritated. "Elders? You're only one year older than me. Use your head next time you say something stupid like that." Toshiro scoffed and walked away, much to Sachi's shock. "You're a bad-mannered, hard-headed, nincompoop, you know that?" She spoke as Toshiro stopped walked and turned to face her with a devilish smile. "At least I have charm and looks, my lady." He activated his manipulative charm, which was unusual for a 12 year old kid. Sachi turned completely red and stomped the other way. "Stupid, stupid, stupid..." she muttered continuously as he face remained a tomato.

"Now it is time for the annual Sozokujin Dance! All heirs, please line up across the ballroom." Ai announced, and chatters and excitement filled the room. The annual Sozokujin dance was only the most important event of the yearly ball. Each year, the ball will be hosted by a different high class family, and this year it happened to be the Takeshitas. The Sozokujin Dance is when all the heirs of a successful and prestigious line up and dance with a chosen partner. This dance is known to shape a company's image, and their family's as well. The Sozokujin dance was a way to preserve image and legacy, so everyone was nervous as well as excited.

In a flash, heirs ranging from five years old to seventeen started lining up in two seperate rows, the boys and girls facing each other. Sora and Megumi were of age to participate as well, and it was also their first year doing the dance. "Oh, I can't wait for Megumi Takeshita to dance. She's so pretty!" One old lady whispered to one of her friends as they nodded in agreement. Ai was on stage, and was given a large bowl of envelops full of the heir's names. She pulled out the first one, and smiled. "Toshiro and Sachi, please make your way to the centre of the ballroom." She announced with pride of her son as Sachi's shoulders slumped and she involuntarily made her way to the middle, being met by Toshiro. They prepared their waltz position, obviously unenthusiastic about it but tried to hide their bitterness towards each other.

"I know I hate you, but act professional, for goodness sake. I don't want to ruin my family's image and pride over you." Toshiro whispered put on a stern face, and Sachi sighed in defeat. "The feeling is mutual." Those were Sachi's quite aggressive final words before the waltz music started and the two began. Toshiro and Sachi both danced as elegantly as they could, trying not to look at each other during the process. "Toshiro is such a handsome young man! It's a shame he didn't get paired with a really pretty girl this year. Oh well, we always have next year's Sozokujin." One lady whispered in the crowd to her husband as the waltz was almost over, complimenting Toshiro but bad chatting about Sachi. Sachi heard what she said and her face saddened. She lost concentration and tripped, falling back. Sachi thought she was going to be utterly doomed and humiliated as she realised she was falling back onto the floor, then suddenly someone's hand gripped her back, saving her from an unfortunate fate. It was Toshiro. Everyone clapped at the end of the performance, talking about how attractive Toshiro was. Sachi had almost fallen back, but Toshiro caught her, making it look like it was part of the dance, and everything was all good.

Sachi regained her stability and stood up straight, patting down her dress and taking s deep exhale. "Thank you, Toshiro Takeshita." She managed to thank him as they both walked back to the crowd. "I didn't do it for you, Sachi Itsuki. If you fell, it would ruin the whole dance. We were the first pair after all, and I wasn't in the mood for you to ruin it, painfully average girl." Toshiro shot back in a cold and bitter tone as he scoffed and made his way to take a place next to his mother and father, Ai and Makoto, who pat his shoulder and congratulated him for doing such a good job. Now Sachi was truly humiliated. She turned red out of embarrassment, and also hurried over to her mother and father to watch the rest of the dance. Toshiro Takeshita had gotten the best of her. Again.

[a/n: so this chapter is basically introducing the Sachi and Toshiro dynamic. Don't get me wrong, I love this ship and u dont know how much I want to add in an enemies to lovers arc, but I don't have a strong desire or plan for them to be endgame. I think i would prefer the two making their way as friends instead of being lovers. Maybe they could attempt a relationship for a while but i dont think their characters have what it takes to be endgame. i would prefer for Toshiro to be with a nice and thoughtful girl, and who knows.... I might have plans to pair up Sachi with Touma for endgame because we all know that Yamato is already destined to be with Inori and Kiyoshi is well, gay]
