It was just before lunch, and they were doing writing and literature. Itsuki and Megumi were both doing their individual work when Itsuki looked over at what Megumi was doing, and realised that she was amazing at writing. "I see you have a talent for writing, Takeshita-san." Itsuki suddenly caught Megumi off guard. "The same goes for you." Megumi smiled as she eyed Itsuki's paper. "Also, u-um... are we friends?" Megumi stuttered, which was unlike her. Megumi was never one for making friends. "Yeah! Of course. You're actually my first friend at school." Itsuki chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "I'm glad... also, you don't have to call me Takeshita-san. You can just call me Takeshita, if you like." Megumi clicked the end of her pen as Itsuki grinned. "Can I call you Saki saki? I know it's random, but if you jumble up the letters of your last name a bit and take the s, a, k, and i, then you have Saki!" Itsuki thought on the top of his head as Megumi nodded with a smile.

"Can student council president Takeshita Megumi please report to the school office. Thank you." the PA blasted out as Megumi asked to be excused by Sensei, and he nodded. "Who's going to volunteer to go with Take-." Before Sensei could even finish, Itsuki and Miyamura stood up and both yelled in unison, "I will!" before anyone else could. Sensei picked Itsuki to go with Megumi because they were the seating pairs. "Okay! Let's go, Saki saki!" Itsuki said aloud as he walked next to Megumi to the door. "Saki saki?" Miyamura said to himself quietly, weirded out on why Itsuki calls Megumi by a nickname. "What was that, Izukkun?" Chisote asked in a cute tone as she fluttered her eyelashes. "Nothing..." Miyamura answered as Chisote brushed it off.

Lunch came by, and Yoshikawa, Ishikawa, Akenon, Hori, Miyamura, Chitose, Megumi, and Itsuki sat together. "Are you sure it's okay I can sit here?" Itsuki chuckled awkwardly. "Of course!" Yuki giggled as Itsuki smiled. "So... how do you know Miyamura, Nasegawa-san?" Hori glared at Chitose as Chitose gave her a dirty look and smirked. "Childhood friends. I've known him since forever." Chitose kind of brags in a cutesy tone. As long as she keeps using that cute voice, she can do anything. Hori grumbled and started minding her own business after that.

The group started to notice that Miyamura and Megumi weren't talking or sitting next to each other. "Eh heh... Is there something we don't know about that's going on between you two?" Ishikawa chuckled uncomfortably as he looked back and forth at Megumi and Miyamura. Megumi raised an eyebrow with a blank expression as Miyamura tried his best to ignore Ishikawa. "Yeah, it's starting to get weird... did you guys break up or something?" Yuki guessed as Miyamura almost choked on some tempura, while Megumi just sipped some of her iced tea calmly. "Yep. I think we found our answer ladies and gentlemen." Ishikawa sighed as Yuki put on a slightly offended face. "How could you not tell us? We could've consoled you guys." Yuki pout as Akeno sweatdropped, which Yuki noticed.

"You knew about this, Akeno-chan?" she asked as she tilted her head, and now Akenon was sweating gallons, and she looked like she was about to crack and took a deep breath. "Okay so first Miyamura and Shinon-chan had a sleepover together and then Shinon-chan's brothers caught them and thought they were screwing and then Shinon-chan got mad and then her and Miyamura snuck out and Miyamura took her on a date then they go to Miyamura's bakery and they see Nasegawa and Shinon-chan jealous so she leaves and makes up with her brothers and the next day Miyamura called her and says he is visiting her grandma but he doesn't really visit his grandma and Shinon-chan saw him in a grocery store with Nasegawa," Akenon takes another deep breath. "And then Shinon-chan confronts Miyamura about it and he apologises and says that Nasegawa made him do it then when they went back they saw Nasegawa and Nasegawa started getting on Shinon-chan's nerves and saying that Miyamura is happier with her than with Shinon-chan and then Miyamura agreed which was weird and then Nasegawa started rubbing it in Shinon-chan's face and they kind of unconsciously broke up." Akenon took a huge sigh as everyone looked at Akenon, then Megumi and Miyamura. Everyone was silent because Akenon had done all the talking for them. Itsuki saw that Megumi was getting uncomfortable and stood up. "I need to file my attendance at the student council room, Saki Saki?" Itsuki reached his hand out to Megumi who took it and walked away with Itsuki. "Saki Saki?" Akenon and Miyamura grumbled at the same time with an offended look.

"Thanks for getting me out of there." Megumi thanked Itsuki as he smiled. "No problem. It was obvious you looked uncomfortable there anyways." Itsuki rubbed the back of his neck. "Also, I don't mean to pry but... what was Hajishi-san saying back there?" Itsuki asked curiously as Megumi sighed. "Just some confusing relationship stuff..." Megumi replied, not looking at Itsuki.

"Hey... can I ask you guys something?" Miyamura chuckled awkwardly as the rest of the group nodded. "Do you think Megumi likes Itsuki-san?" Miyamura asked, looking down at his food. "I mean mayb-." Ishikawa was about to say 'maybe' but Akenon interrupted him. "No! Shinon-chan isn't the type for 'love at first sight', more like 'slow burn'. I am positive... that she still has feelings for you, Miyamura!" Akenon revealed as Miyamura's eyes widened and Chitose's did as well. "Why do you want to know, Izukkun?" Chitose asked with a hint of annoyance. "I... I still love her, Chi-san." Miyamura said quietly, but everyone could hear. The room was silent once again. "I didn't even know you loved Takeshita in the first place, ha ha..." Ishikawa tried to lighten the mood but it didn't seem to work. Chitose's head turned dark and she looked blank. "I just remembered, I have to do some student council work... bye guys!" Yuki excused herself as Akenon gave her a look that said, "Don't leave me here!". Yuki ran out of the room. "I have to go to the bathroom. I'll be back soon!" Ishikawa stood up immediately and left. Now it was just Chitose, Miyamura, and Akenon. "I'll just go..." Akenon awkwardly giggled a bit and sprinted out of the classroom, leaving only Chitose and Miyamura.

"Why do you love her so much, Izukkun!? I already won you over!" Chitose stood up and yelled at Miyamura. "That day, when you asked me if I was happy with you, you interrupted me! I was going to say that I don't love you the way I love Megumi. It's different." Miyamura stood up as well to face Chitose. "I thought we already talked about this, Nasegawa. I thought you understood that I love that girl. I love Megumi. And I might not get her back." Miyamura said loud and clear to Chitose and left the room, just like everyone else.

It was about two months later, and the whole school year was almost over. Itsuki and Megumi were always together now, even though they weren't in a relationship. Miyamura and Megumi made up, but they never got back together again. Their relationship wasn't the same, even as friends. One day, Itsuki entered the classroom with a rose, and walked up to Megumi. Everyone in their classroom gasped.

Itsuki walked over so he was face to face with Megumi. "Takeshita Megumi, 'Saki Saki'," Itsuki smiled at her as she looked at him with wide eyes. "I... I want to date you. You're the only girl that has caught my eye the whole time I've been here. I want to be your boyfriend." Itsuki admitted as Megumi smiled a bit. "Thank you... but I need some time to think this over." Megumi smiled warmly at Itsuki as he nodded. "Of course." he replied, smiling back.

"How could she leave a hottie like Itsuki hanging like that?"

"She really is an ice queen, isn't she?"

"I told you they'd get together by the end of the semester!"

"Hold on, they're not together yet!"

The overlapping chatter filled the room as Megumi left the room to think, as Miyamura left shortly after. He followed Megumi to find she was under the same cherry blossom tree where they confessed. He stood behind her. "Megumi?" Miyamura said which caused Megumi to turn around. "O-oh! Miyamura-I'm sorry, I should go somewhere more private to thin-." Megumi started walking away when Miyamura grabbed her wrist. "Miyamura-." Megumi was suprised but didn't turn back to face Miyamura, who was still holding her wrist.  "Don't date him." Miyamura told Megumi, who was wide eyed. "Why can't I?" Megumi asked with her head down. "Because I... I.." Miyamura was at a loss for words, and they stayed silent like that for a moment. "You have no reason to stop me after all," Megumi's voice quivered. "Miyamura, let me go." Her voice sounded beyond hurt. Megumi still wouldn't look at him. Slowly, Miyamura let go of Megumi's wrist, and walked away with tears forming in his eyes.

This was the end of Miyamura Izumi and Takeshita Megumi.
