It was the end of the day, and it was time for Megumi to give Itsuki her answer to his confession. The two stood face to face with many people laying eyes and whispering, and one of those people watching were Miyamura. "Saki saki? Are you okay?" Itsuki said as he woke Megumi from her trance. "Yes, I was just thinking, that's all." Megumi replied with a warm smile as Itsuki immediately bowed. "Okay... Takeshita Megumi, please allow me to go out with you! I like you!" Itsuki yelled loud enough to everyone could hear. "Look at me..." Megumi told Itsuki which caused him to jolt right up.

"You have to promise," Megumi looked at Itsuki seriously. "That no matter what I say, things will stay the same between us." Megumi took a deep breath as Itsuki nodded. It was silence for a long time, and Megumi seemed to be thinking everything over. "Sora," she suddenly called Itsuki suddenly as he looked deep into her eyes. "Sora... I won't be able to love you the way you want me to. I will only disappoint you. If we get together, I would just be an inconvenience." Megumi looked at Itsuki warmly, but Itsuki was not ready to face defeat. "I don't care! I don't care if you will disappoint me! Just give me a chance." Itsuki yelled once more as Megumi smiled at him kindly. "I told you. I won't be able to love you the way you may love me over time. I don't want to say no again."  Megumi took Itsuki's hand as he looked at her. He looked heartbroken, but also not willing to accept that Megumi doesn't have the feelings he does for her. "Can I... just spend some time alone with you? You don't have to like me back..." Itsuki grasped her hand tighter.

"Yeah.. it's just that you caught my eye ever since we started as first years. Given what everyone thinks of me, I didn't have the courage to speak to you." She revealed as Miyamura grasped her hand tighter, which she loved.

Even though Itsuki was the one standing right in front of her, all she could think of was the way Miyamura grasped her hand. "I... I can't see why not." Megumi agreed to Itsuki's proposition as they both smiled. Itsuki's eyes were watering to the point that Megumi could see her reflection in those beautiful orbs.

"I'm trying not to cry for you, Saki saki.." Itsuki's voice cracked as Megumi put her hand on the back of his head, and she put Itsuki's head on her shoulder, and it kind of looked like a hug. Itsuki cried into Megumi's uniform. "I'm sorry I can't repriocate your feelings." Megumi whispered in Itsuki's ear as they both fell to the ground on their knees, as Megumi kept Itsuki in her grasp. "I'm sorry I fell for you." Itsuki replied between cries as he returned Megumi's hug and held her tight, as Megumi stroked his hair, because his head was on her shoulder.

Now Itsuki and Megumi's first loves ended in heartbreak.

Megumi loved Miyamura, and Itsuki loved Megumi. Miyamura hurt Megumi. Now Megumi can't move on with Itsuki.

Megumi was packing up her stuff to leave the school. She stayed there longer than anyone else, studying. "Did you accept?" Miyamura suddenly came in. He was looking down. "I..." Megumi held her bag tighter as Miyamura took a few steps closer to her. "No. I declined." Megumi told Miyamura as his eyes met hers. "Why?" Miyamura couldn't help but ask, which caused Megumi to fiddle with her headband resting on her short hair. "I can't love him the way he wants me to." Megumi revealed as Miyamura's eyes widened.

There was a silence after that. Megumi was about to leave when Miyamura asked, "Who do you love?"  he looked straight at her which caused Megumi to blush the tiniest bit. "Because I love you." Miyamura said in a genuine tone as Megumi was in shock. "No, you love Chisote." Megumi replied, furrowing her eyebrows a bit, looking hurt.

"Believe me," Miyamura came closer to Megumi and put both his hands on her shoulders. "Believe me when I say I love you!" Miyamura yelled, which caused Megumi's eyes to widen. "Please... just let me forget about these feelings!" Megumi's voice quivered in a hurt tone as she tried to look away from Miyamura, but he didn't let her. He put his hands on her cheeks gently and made her look at him. "I love you a whole lot. I love you, I love you, I love you!" Miyamura yelled once more as Megumi smiled a bit. "I know, Miyamura." She smiled at him warmly as Miyamura hugged her tightly. Megumi pulled away from the hug, and took a deep breath in and out. "We'll see what happens next." Megumi smiled warmly at Miyamura and left the room.
