"Have you already prepared the catering, Inori-chan?" Ai Takeshita, the mother of the Takeshita children smiled at Inori as they were eating dinner. "Yes, of course." Inori grinned back as Yamato put his hand on top of hers. Ever since Yamato graduated from university, he started spending more time at his own home; which meant more time with Inori. They had reconnected over the three years, and just six months before, Yamato had asked Inori to marry him. Inori was the maid, and Yamato was the eldest child and heir of the Takeshitas. But soon, they would be husband and wife.
"I'm home!" Megumi called from the door, and she came in, taking off her shoes and sitting down onto the table shortly after. "I'm glad you're having dinner with us, Ino-chan!" Megumi smiled sweetly. She was overjoyed that Inori was marrying Yamato. Inori had always been like a babysitter and big sister to her, since she only had older brothers. Inori was the one who really understood her as the only girl in the family. "Me too, Megumi-sama." Inori smiled back in the same old warm voice of hers. "You don't have to call me Megumi-sama anymore. We'll basically be sisters after you and oniichan get married." Megumi chuckled as she grabbed some wagyu from the centre of the table. Inori felt warmth in her heart. She was going to be Megumi's big sister, although she was younger than her, Inori still idolised Megumi just as much.
"By the way, I hope it is okay," Megumi took a bowl of miso soup in her hand. "But I invited a couple of people." Megumi beamed, and Yamato looked somewhat angry. "Imotocchan! You can't just invite people to my wedding!" Yamato was fuming (more like in a joking way, like in anime), and Inori gave a nervous chuckle. "I am part of this family. I am entitled to bring guests." Megumi put a graceful hand to her chest. "Don't yell at the table, please." Kiyoshi smiled kindly, and his words didn't match his peaceful and gleeful face at all. "Fine, I should be mature about this." Yamato sighed, as Touma and Toshiro both rolled their eyes. "Who did you invite?" Yamato gave Megumi a stern look, which Megumi gave back. "I invited Sora, who I presume is already invited, Miyamura-." Megumi stopped when she noticed that all of her brother's eyes averted to her when they heard the name 'Miyamura'.
"That kid again?" Touma grumbled, taking a sip of his orange juice with a angry face plastered on. "I thought you guys broke up." Toshiro tilted his head. "Well, I-." Megumi came to a sudden realisation. She had never told her brothers that she ever dated Miyamura. "How did you know I dated Miyamura?" Megumi looked straight at Toshiro, who just shrugged. "Actions speak louder than words." Toshiro said calmly, and right next to him was a flaming red Touma. "I hate how you're so annoyingly wise." Megumi sighed as Kiyoshi tried his best to quieten Touma's loud screams of anger by putting a hand over his mouth. "Oh, and I also invited Homura Kurigato." Megumi said calmly, but Makoto, her father, almost spit out his drink.
"What's wrong?" Megumi tilted her head as her father wiped his mouth with a napkin. "Is his father's name Kane Kurigato by any chance?" Ai, their mother, chuckled awkwardly as Megumi put on a thinking face. "I think so..." Megumi put some wagyu beef into her mouth shortly after that. "Does this Homura Kurigato have red hair? Scarlet, to be exact?" Makoto cleared his throat, and Megumi smiled. "That's right. Kurigato-kun has the most charming scarlet hair I've ever seen." Megumi said at ease while gathering the wagyu on her plate. "It's definitely him." Makoto grumbled angrily under his breath. "Who? What? Can someone tell me what's going on?" Megumi crossed her arms and put on a stern face. "Your father and Kane Kurigato were rivals in the past, that's all." Ai smiled brightly, and that is where Kiyoshi got his sweet smile from. "What did they fight over?" Yamato asked, passing some orange juice over to Inori.
"Your mother." Makoto said with a serious face, pushing up his glasses (I didn't put okaasan because of the your mom joke). Touma suddenly burst into a laughing fit. "Wow, ottosan! I never knew you'd pull a 'your mom' joke anytime soon!" Touma managed to squeeze in between his pure laughter. "What 'your mom' joke?" Makoto looked confused, and the whole room went silent, with Touma's laughter slowly fading. "Wait, you're being serious? Like literally? Like you two literally fought over okaasan?" Touma was the one who looked confused now. "I thought it was clear the first time I said it." Makoto sighed, and Megumi smacked the back of Touma's head. "Oh, it was clear, ottosan. It's just Toukkun." Megumi crossed her arms once again. "Can you tell us what happened?" Toshiro cut some of his takoyaki, and Makoto cleared this throat.
