I'm depressed so you know what that means... CHAPTERS!!!
Angst - sorry not sorry also it's not very good.

Y/n pov-

Everything was ready, snacks laid out perfectly on the coffee table, an extensive amount of blankets and pillows and a few different movie options ready. Sae-byeok was on her way home from work and tonight was date night although we decided to stay in and have a movie night.

I sit on the couch waiting patiently for her to arrive, she was meant to be here 5 minutes ago but I just assumed traffic was bad or something. I called her phone wanting to check how far away she was but there was no answer, I tried once more, and the phone rang for a while and then sent me to voicemail.

I started to worry, it had now been 20 minutes and she wasn't home, no call, no text, this wasn't like her she would always answer no matter the situation. I call once more hoping that this time will be different, that maybe she will answer... nothing. I throw my phone on the couch and sit down with an annoyed huff, thinking of every possible situation that could cause her to be late and not answer her phone.

It had now been 40 minutes, and I was in total panic, spiralling down endless questions of what could have happened. I hear my phone buzz on the couch and rush over, picking it up... it's an unknown number. "Hello Y/n speaking" I talk calmly despite the current situation "Hi, is this Ms Y/n Y/l/n?" It's a male voice, deep and muscular with zero emotion "Yes it is, may I ask who this is?" I question. "Mam I'm Officer *****, Your contact information was picked up off of a phone. We ask for you to come down to ****** street near the primary school" My heart drops, an officer? Where did they get my contact information? does it have something to do with Sae-byeok?

"Yes, of course! I will be right there" I hang up the phone and rush to my room, grabbing a pair of shoes and a jacket I run to the front door. Collecting my keys I'm quick to get into the car and begin driving to the given location, it was a place I had been before so I knew my way.

The closer I drove the more commotion built up, I could see the faint flashing light of cop cars and ambulance trucks, and people gathered around despite cops trying to move them away. I got closer and tried to find a safe place to park, I saw two cars on the side of the road, one was badly damaged: broken windows - smashed bumper - missing door. However the car just a few feet away was worse, completely flipped upside down, doors missing, glass everywhere and paramedics rushing over.

I jump out of my car and rush over to some officers, "Hello, I was called a few minutes ago being told to come down here. What happened?" I ask, an officer a little bit away overhears and walks over "Ms, Y/l/n?" I nod my head "There was a car accident" No shit "We believe that someone involved was close to you and thought you would want to come down" I scan the area trying to look for anyone I recognise.

I look over at the flipped car and watch as a body is pulled out of one of the broken windows and laid on the ground as they rush to get a stretcher.

Sae-byeok

I run over as fast as I can, I can feel myself being close to breaking. "Sae-byeok!" I yell, as I approach the scene I take in her visible injuries, blood drips down from her head, cuts cover her arms and face, her hand looks broken and one eye is more closed than the other. Shards of glass cover her body and she lays practically limp. I get as close as I'm allowed, almost not convinced this is really happening "Sae-byeok can you hear me?" She doesn't answer, I can see her struggling to keep her eyes open.

"Sae-byeok please!" I cry, I can hardly do anything as I watch the paramedics take her to the ambulance. I try to follow, desperate to know if she will be okay, I am not getting many answers from anyone and the only thing I'm told is to go to the hospital and that I will be told more there.

For a moment I stand in the middle of the commotion, watching the ambulance drive away. I'm frozen. Not moving a single muscle. Stuck in my own thoughts.

She looked close to death, unresponsive, and weak, and there was nothing I could do. I couldn't go back in time and stop anything from happening, I couldn't magically make her better, I was helpless.
