Jumpscare ~ Sae-byeok

Y/n pov-

It was late in the afternoon, I was waiting for Sae-byeok to arrive from work. I hadn't seen her all day and some would say I'm being a baby but I missed her. The front door slowly opens and I rush over to stand in front of it, greeted with a tired-looking Sae-byeok I frown at her messy appearance.

"Bad day?" I ask her sympathetically.

"Don't even get me started" She takes her shoes off and sinks into the couch as I shut the door and join her "Some lady yelled at me for getting her order wrong and then when I was giving some people their drinks I spilled their coffee all over me and then when walking home I stepped in a puddle and got my sock wet" She frowns at me, resting her head against the back of the couch.

After sitting in comfortable silence for a few minutes she excuses herself so she can go have a shower. I don't like seeing Sae-byeok mad or frustrated so I decide to try and cheer her up in the dumbest way possible.... that's right I'm going to scare her. Some would ask how that is funny but every time I've been jump scared by someone it always makes me laugh so it has to work.

"Y/n... Can you come here?" She yells from our bedroom. I poke my head through the door to see what she needs, she is tucked up in bed looking comfortable as ever.

"What's up?"

"I want cuddles," she says opening her arms for me to join her.

I slide into bed with her and it doesn't take long for her to fall asleep, once I notice this I slip out from under her arms and tip-toe out of the room. When entering the lounge room I go straight to the cupboard to try and find the suit I ordered for Halloween. Bingo.

I pull out the costume and begin to dress myself, while trying to put the pants on I lose balance and fall on the ground 'shit '. after about 2 minutes I hear our bedroom door open and Sae mumble something and panic trying to get the rest of the costume on as fast as possible.

Sae-byeok's pov-

THUD!

My eyes slowly open to the sudden loud noise and I am confused when finding Y/n is no longer in my arms. Curious as to where she is and what that thud sound was, I pull myself out of bed, rubbing my eyes as I slowly walk towards the door.

"Hello? Y/n is that you?" My voice was dry and quieter than usual so I assume Y/n didn't hear me. Slowly waddling out of the bedroom and down the hall, I turn into the lounge room to find... nothing?

"Y/n? Where are you" I hear tiny giggles from the kitchen so you bet that's where I'm heading. As I walk into the kitchen I see a fury looking suit emerge from beside me just from the corner of my eye, without having time to react I have this weird fury wolf thing jumping at me and yelling.

A loud scream emerges from me and my hands are brought to my eyes covering them, I find my body kneeling close to the ground as if whatever just jumped at me was going to attack but when I hear more giggles I look up, shocked and scared still trembling.

When looking up at the wolf fur costume I see out from the top of it Y/n face as she laughs at my reaction. I look down in embarrassment but she only laughs harder, my heart was still racing rapidly and my hands shook uncontrollably, I bring myself off the floor and just over Y/n level.

"What the hell you scared the crap out of me!" I yell at her, placing my hand on my heart as I continue to let out deep breaths in an attempt to calm myself down.

"I'm sorry but your reaction was just- it was priceless" She laughs out wiping away the few tears she had let out. I playfully hit her arm still slightly mad at her for scaring me like that, when she looks at me to see my expression she is quick to stop laughing.

"I'm sorry. I thought it might cheer you up" She innocently states, I shake my head at her earning a few more giggles that she is evidently trying to conceal. she takes my hand and walks us back to our room, I sit on our bed and stare up at her for a few moments.

"What?"

"will you take that ridiculous costume off?" 

"Why? I think I look pretty sexy in it" She turns to the mirror and pulls a few poses trying to convince me of how 'sexy' she looks in the costume. I laugh at her goofy behaviour and after a few more poses she takes it off.

"Did I make you feel better?" She asks as she sits next to me on our bed.

"A little" 

"Oh come on, what I did was hilarious I mean you had me crying I was laughing so hard"

"Yeah You" I smirk at her playfully.

she pinches my cheeks and places a small kiss on my cheek then snuggles into me.

A/n-
