Seating plan Pt. 2 ~ Sae-byeok

The end of the school day was nearing and I was a nervous wreck, Ji-Yeong was constantly reminding me about this afternoon as if I just magically forgot about it somehow. 

Sae-byeok was in 3 more of my classes that day and although we didn't talk I would see her taking a little look at me here and there, I mean so was I but that's beside the point. Does she actually like me? 

Finally period and as always I was paying no attention to the teacher, it's just maths it's not like its important... right? I look at the time and spiral into a panic as I see there are only 5 minutes left of class. Everyone begins gathering their things and preparing to race out of the classroom before the hallways turn into complete mayhem.

The bell echos through the school hallways and everyone heads to their lockers, I was going to do the same but the teacher held me back "Y/n can I speak to you please." I roll my eyes and walk to her desk "Y/n I would appreciate it if you paid attention in my class and contributed to class discussions more" she tells me "yes miss, I'm sorry", "If I see this behaviour again there will be consequences and I would hate for it to come to that" She informs me.

 "You're a good student Y/n, please try harder with your study" I nod my head and avoid eye contact "thank you, I will see you, next class".

I walk out of the classroom and rush to my locker, the hallways had already cleared up a bit so it wasn't as much of a struggle to get to my locker as it normally would be. I was shocked when I saw Sae-byeok happily waiting at my locker, our lockers are nowhere near each other and I didn't think she knew where mine was. 

I take a deep breath before proceeding on, "hey, your out late" She smiles at me "Yeah sorry, the teacher held me back" I complain, trying my best to hide how nervous I was. I'm not sure how Sae-byeok is so calm about everything but maybe she's like me and internally screaming about everything. 

I gather my things and Sae-byeok and I walk out of school side by side, I wasn't sure where this coffee shop she was taking me to was so I allowed her to lead the way. Small conversations were started up but none stayed long enough to sill the awkward silence.

"So, like boys... you like them?" I awkwardly ask, she stares blankly at me for a second before answering "No, you?" She laughs "Kinda, I like both" I answer nervously.  "aaa I see" She comments before stopping outside a small coffee shop "We're here!" She cheers.

We both walk inside and get a table, I grab out my book and laptop so we can do some work like we had planned "I'm going to get a drink, do you want anything?" She asks "It's ok, ill go up in a second," I tell her, "Nonsense, just tell me what you want. My treat" She smiles at me "Fine, just a vanilla milkshake please" She nods her head and walks over to the cash register.

After a while, she returns with our drinks in hand, because we were working together she grabs a seat next to me in the small booth... I wasn't complaining. 

We spend almost an hour doing school work which sounds boring but there were constant jokes and conversation throughout that made it a lot better. It was starting to get late however I didn't want to leave, this is the longest I had talked to Sae-byeok and the more I talked to her the more comfortable and relaxed I was. 

We both pack up our things and walk out of the cafe, "How are you getting home?" She asks me "ill probably walk, it's not far" I smile "Which way?" I point up the street, a large smile creeps on her face "Me too! we can talk together" I was happy she was walking the same way because it meant spending more time with her.

After only 6 minutes of walking we end up on my street, Sae-byeok walks me up to my door but before I head inside I pass her my phone. She looks at me confused "I'm not leaving without your number" I tell her, a wave of confidence washing through me. She types in her number and passes back my phone.

"well, ill see you tomorrow," I tell her, "Bye!" She tells me, before I turn around she quickly places a kiss on my cheek, her face is a bright red. "We should do this again sometime" She sheepishly asks "yeah, I would like that" She begins walking away, waving goodbye to me. I wave back before opening my front door and heading inside.

"I'm home!" I call out, I hear my brother rush down the stairs "Y/N HAS A GIRLFRIEND!!!" He yells at my parents "What!" I rush into the kitchen "I saw her kiss you!" He cheers. "she's just a friend you weirdo" I push him.

"Who is she?" Mum asks "no one ma don't worry about it," I tell her, grabbing a cup of water "Whoever she is she better be nice, don't want anyone hurting my little girl," dad says. "Of course, not Pa, we couldn't have that could we?" I laugh, taking my cup of water to my room.

"she wants to go out again," I tell myself, placing the water on my desk I throw myself onto my bed and squeal in excitement.

As you can tell Sae-byeok's personality is different in this one cause I felt like it- deal with it :) I will make a part 2 for the playdate chapter soon I promise but in the meantime, if anyone has any requests let me know <3
