New Years ~ Sae-byeok

This was my first New Year with Sae and I was so excited, We started dating early this year and it has been the best year of my life. Besides Sae-byeok's cold and intimidating appearance, when it comes to me she melts like butter, I find it cute.

"Babe, you ready?" She asks, I nod my head and follow her to the balcony of our apartment. Sae has never really had much money but I've always had enough to get by and some extra to treat myself although she refuses to accept any of my money when I offer but she did agree to move in with me when I found out about her terrible living arrangements.

My apartment was on one of the top floors meaning a great view to see the fireworks that were on to celebrate the New Year. We have both had a few drinks, her more than me and we were both a bit tipsy but not drunk... Yet.

"Time check?" She asks, holding me close to her due to the colder weather, I pick up my phone to check the time then answer her "11:57" I smile at her. "I'm glad we have made it this far," She says, looking out at the View "What do you mean?" I question her, looking up but her gaze remained out onto the city. "I've always had a habit of running people away and when I first met you and saw how amazing you were, I worried I would do the same to you but you stayed... no one has ever done that".

She leans her head down and I place a small kiss on her cheek "I'm not leaving, not ever" I cup her face in my hands and hold her forehead to mine. We stay like this for two minutes until Sae pointed out that it was nearly time, I got a live countdown on my phone and we stood at the railing of the balcony in anticipation.

The New Year was only seconds away, the excitement building up inside me. Sae holds onto my hand and smiles as she looks out at the lit-up buildings.

And just on queue, the fireworks lit up the nights sky, the colours changing from red to purple to blue to orange it was a wondrous sight although I didn't get to enjoy it for long as I felt my body turn and my head pushed into a passionate kiss. Instantly melting into it my hands find their way to her hair and pull her closer to me, she taps my leg for me to jump up and I do her catching me of course. The kiss lasts for what felt like forever but I wasn't complaining, She is the first to pull away from the kiss but doesn't put me back on the ground.

We rest our heads on each other again, both panting for air. "Happy New Year" She whispers to me, I smile "Happy New Year my love". The feeling of sleep consumes me and I snuggle my head into the crook of her neck, Her grip tightens on me and I feel her walking. "Let's get you to bed" She walks us to our room and lays me on the bed, tucking me in tight.

She kisses my forehead and then snuggles in next to me, She holds me tight in her arms. "Goodnight darling" She whispers kissing my neck "Goodnight" I mumble as I snuggle into her chest.

A New Year... With the one I love, what else could I ask for?

ok so for me right now (Australia) New years is in 2 minutes so I thought I would jump in the laptop and quickly write a chapter for you guys.
