Nighttime rain ~ Sae-byeok

I listened to 'rises the moon' on repeat when writing this.

Y/n pov-

 The room was dark with the only light source being the moon that was shinning past the clouds that obstructed its main light stream. Water droplets hit the window as winds pick up outside, it may be cold out there but I was perfectly fine in the warmth of my bed. I look at the clock next to my bed, it reads '2:37 am' i sigh and turn around to face my girlfriend.

Her eyes were shut and she looked so peaceful sleeping, a soft breath escapes her lips as her chest rises and falls ever so slightly. The blanket was only really covering her legs and she was wearing a large oversized t-shirt, I move closer to her leaving little space between us. I wrap my arms around her waist and rest my head on her chest, closing my eyes and allowing myself to listen to the soothing sound of rain from outside. 

I was startled when I felt a warm hand trace lines up and down my arm whilst another wrapped around my waist. "You ok?" Sae asks, her voice is low and raspy, I smile to myself as to how adorable she is when sleepy "I couldn't be better" I whisper back, burying my head into the crook of her neck. For a while, I thought the rain was very delicate and calming but that soon changed when a loud rumble of thunder echos through the room, I tighten my grip and hide my face more.

For as long as I can remember I have always hated storms, I'm not sure why but something about them always made me feel so unsafe. "Shhh- it's not going to hurt you, your safe I promise" She whispers, playing with a strand of my hair. Her words bring instant relief and I feel at peace once more, a few more rumbles of thunder shook the room but not for long and soon enough the storm had passed. I soon fall back asleep, held tight in each other embrace.

In the morning-

It was the weekend meaning I had nothing to do today, I sit up and stretch out my arms, looking out the window it seemed today's weather will be much the same as last night, a small and painful drizzle of rain that won't leave. I turn my head to next to me but see Sae's side of the bed empty, I am about to get out of bed and find her but the bedroom door opens and my girlfriend enters with a little tray.

She places the in bed table over my lap and helps me sit up properly before placing some food down in front of me. "Awww, you didn't have to make breakfast" I smile at her "Too bad- I have the whole day planned out" She boops my nose then sits on her side of the bed "It starts with breakfast and is then followed by movies and snacks" She seemed very proud of the day she had so quickly thought up and I loved the idea, it was the perfect day for it.

"I can't wait" I smile and dig into the food in front of me while Sae talks to me about the dream she had last night after falling back asleep, she kept getting lost in detail and would get completely sidetracked but I didn't mind at all, in fact, I loved her little rants she went on about her dreams; it was something she would to most mornings.

It was mornings like these that I cherish the most.

A/n-

Sorry for not posting for a few days I've been busy with school and I have had a lot of drama happening within my friend group that has been stressing me out but I'm back and have a few chapter ideas. 

Sorry, this one is short but who doesn't like a short little fluff chapter... right :D
