"What?!" Sasaki screamed. "Y/n-Chan, this is all my fault! I only left to go to the bathroom, but you were gone when I came back! I shouldn't have left you there alone! I'm so sorry!"

I sighed. "It's not your fault, Sasaki. As Mr. Kujo said, it ta-"

"No! You were wasted, Y/n-Chan! That's all my fault!" She insisted. "I'll never bring you to another party again, I promise!"

"Well, it doesn't really matter now," I quietly said. She didn't respond, but her eyes said everything. She truly regretted bringing me with her. I wasn't angry with her at all, and I hated that she put all of the blame on herself. But I didnt say another word about it.

"Would you like to join me for lunch, Sasaki?" I asked after a long moment of silence. Her expression seemed to light up, and a large grin spread across her face immediately.

"Let's go out today! You know, a new cafe opened a few minutes from here!" She exclaimed. I couldn't help but smile at her happiness, and I agreed.

As we were walking through the main lobby of the building, Mr. Kujo suddenly called out, "L/n!" I turned around slowly. "I need to speak with you."

I looked at Sasaki apologetically. "Sorry, Sasaki, we'll go out tomorrow, okay?"

She frowned before turning to Mr. Kujo angrily. "Mi. Sta. Ku. Jo!" She shouted, one syllable at a time. "Y/n-Chan and I were about to leave for our lunch break! You're gonna have to wait until we get back, kay?!"

My eyes grew wide. Was she crazy? Mr. Kujo was practically the most important person in the foundation, and she was yelling at him?

"Sasaki, calm down!" I whispered. "We'll go tomorrow, so let it go." I placed my hand on her shoulder, but she shrugged it off.

"Mr. Kujo," She spat, walking up to him confidently. "Don't you have anything to say for yourself? Taking Y/n-Chan while she's defenseless-- You don't deserve her!" She pushed his chest lightly with a scowl. "Fuck off."

"Sasaki!" I yelled, approaching her angrily. "That's enough! I said we'll go tomorrow, so let it go, will you?!"

She looked at me, shocked by my tone. I'd never gotten angry with her before, and I've definitely never yelled at her. Now, I was furious, and I didn't like it.

"Alright, Y/n-Chan... I'll see you later, then," She quietly said before walking out of the building.

I sighed, bringing my hand to my forehead in frustration. Mr. Kujo stood silently in front of me with an unreadable expression. He didn't seem mad, but he was also not happy with me.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Kujo. She just feels guilty about what happened. Please forgive her," I quietly said.

"I've been doing a lot of forgiving lately," He stated. I laughed nervously.

"Thank you for being so understanding, sir," I said, trying to keep my quivering voice under control.

I'd never talked to him for a long time, and standing in front of him like that, I could clearly see our differences. Mr. Kujo was much taller than me, and his entire body seemed twice my size. He could crush me with one hand if he wanted, and he wasn't exactly the kindest person, either. He was scary.

"We're going to my office," He suddenly said, walking away without a response.

Once we arrived, he sat behind his desk with a frown. There was no chair for me, so I stood in front of him awkwardly.

"We need to discuss our future," He announced. I took a deep breath, nodding slowly. "You've already experienced symptoms of being away from me for a long period. I believe that a month is the longest an Omega can last without its mate. In other words, without me, you'll inevitably die," He explained.

I pressed my lips together as I nodded again, saying, "I know."

"Good. And I'm sure you know the second issue as well," He sighed. "Now that you're marked, suppressants for your heats will no longer have any effect."

Once again, I nodded. I didn't know what else to do.

"When in heat, your reliance must fall on me, and-"

"Sir, I know what needs to happen," I interrupted, my eyes shut tightly. "You don't need to explain it to me."

     We'll have to... have sex.

"Alright. Then, you must understand what I'll be proposing," He said, his arms crossed in front of him.

     I shook my head. "I'm sorry, sir, I don't."

"We must marry. I refuse to do such things with a woman I'm not wed to," He stated.

I lowered my head in silence. Marriage. I should've expected as much. This was an irreversible thing, so, of course, marriage was the right thing to do.

"L/n," He quietly said. "It's in your best interest to accept."
