"What the hell?! Open the door!" Mr. Tsukishima's voice rang throughout the room, his anger-filled scent intoxicating the air. Jotaro glared at the door, his arms somehow tightening around me.
"Star Platinum!" Jotaro suddenly yelled, letting go of me and standing, his legs shaking from the current state he was in. Bloody and drugged. "Za Warudo!"
In a split second, everything was silent. The sound of my heartbeat was so clear, everyone had disappeared. The door was ajar, and Jotaro was no longer by my side. Mr. Tsukishima wasn't outside the room. They were gone.
"J-Jotaro?" I called out, my head spinning as I stood. What was going on?
Suddenly, I could smell him. It was faint, almost completely gone, but it was there.
"Jotaro?!"
"Y/n...?" His quiet voice called out. I rushed in his direction. He was only a few feet away from the door, so why was his scent so small?
"Y/n," He began as I knelt beside him, my hands cupping his pink-tinted cheeks. He looked exhausted. Weak. "We need to go home. Now."
He sounded so pained. So weak.
"What's happening?" I asked him. "Why are you on the ground? Is it the drugs?"
He panted, shaking his head weakly. "Restraint," He finally said. "I can't restrain... a rut."
My eyes widened.
That's right. My mind thought, fear quickly overwhelming any pain that I felt from the heat. Jotaro was dying.
Once an Alpha went into a rut, it was impossible for them to stop it without having sex with an Omega. Jotaro had restrained himself. The consequences of doing so... meant extreme illness. Within a matter of hours... death.
"I-It'll be alright, Jotaro," I panicked, my words more for measuring myself than him.
I propped his arm on my shoulder and began to stand. He was extremely heavy. I expected as much, but it worried me greatly. How would we get home in time?
"Call..." He began, his voice airy and quiet. "Call the foundation. Now."
I nodded quickly and brought my hand to my pocket... only to find it empty. "I don't have my phone," I groaned.
Jotaro sat back down, his arm on my shoulder trembling. It was frightening.
"Doesn't... the same thing happen to Omegas?" I asked, suddenly terrified by our situation. "If that happens, I cant get you home."
After a long, silent pause, he finally spoke. "We'll do it here."
