"Ah!" I nearly jumped off the couch as I saw the time. We'd been talking for over an hour. "I'm going to miss the last train! I should go."
He stood as I began to rush toward the door, grabbing my arm quickly. "You don't... need to go home."
-
He'd given me a shirt and a pair of his shorts to change into once I'd finished showering. However... the pants wouldn't stay up no matter what I did. Of course, the shirt covered more than enough, but it would still be extremely embarrassing to walk out in nothing but a shirt.
I compromised with just the shirt and my panties. It would be fine. I was sure we wouldn't be doing anything but sleeping that night. After all, it had been a long, long night for both of us.
Jotaro was placing a glass of water on the left nightstand when I walked into his room. I knew the moment I entered that it was my new favorite place. His scent surrounded me like a gentle embrace. I couldn't get enough.
"You'll sleep here," Jotaro said as I walked toward him. The bed was neatly made, as I'd expected, and had two pillows on either side. It was quite large, also as I'd expected. I guessed he needed most of the bed for himself, for he was ridiculously large.
I climbed into bed slowly and cuddled in the blanket that seemed to be drenched in his scent. I would sleep white well that night. I was sure of it.
"Jotaro," I mumbled. "What exactly was that thing you did out there? The memory thing."
He looked down at me tiredly. "You've never heard of it?" He asked. I shook my head. "Mates have no secrets. They can and do share every detail of their lives willingly with each other. This is just an ability that makes sure of that. If our skin touches, you can access any one of my memories or share one of yours. The same applies to me, of course."
"Oh! I get it," I smiled brightly. "So-"
"I'm exhausted. Good night," He grumbled as I began a new sentence. He turned out the light and left the room.
Huh?
"Jotaro?" I sat up quickly, extremely confused.
There was no response.
I jumped out of bed and quickly opened the door. "Jotaro!" I called out.
"What?" He answered, his head poking out from around a far corner.
"I thought we were gonna sleep together."
He sighed. "Good grief. Go to bed."
"Can't we sleep together?"
He was silent for a moment before he began to walk in my direction. "Fine. I didn't exactly want to sleep on the couch anyway."
I smiled excitedly before skipping back to the bed. I snuggled under the covers once again.
"Since when are you so forward?" He grumbled.
A giggle escaped as he lifted the fluffy blanket to join me. But... he suddenly stopped.
"What's that smell?" He asked, bringing his nose closer to me as he sniffed. I sat up in confusion. There was no smell. "It's coming from you."
"Huh?" I lifted my shirt to my nose and sniffed in confusion. I could only smell Jotaro.
He came closer, his hand reaching for my face and gently leaning it to the side as his nose found my neck.
"Here," He quietly said. "It's coming from here."
"I-Is it... a bad scent?" I asked, beginning to feel a bit embarrassed as he continued to sniff at my scent glands.
"No. No, it's quite addicting."
Addicting? ...!
I gasped. "Could it be-!"
Suddenly, Jotaro's arms wrapped around me and pulled me to him. He laid down, nuzzling his face in my neck and snuggling with my cool body. His legs entangled with mine and his hands gently held my own.
I chuckled. "Yeah. I know what this is."
I felt his lips lightly peck my skin. Not in a seductive way...
"An Omega often emits this scent to her mate when it's time for them to rest. It helps them relax from their protective instincts."
...It was in a warm, loving way.
