The muffled music that didn't travel into the room I'd been waiting in. The sound of footsteps tapping the floor echoed around me. And my heartbeat. My heartbeat was so thunderous, I had no doubt everyone outside could hear every thump.
And as the doors to my room opened, the thumping seemed to stop. So did the footsteps. So did the music.
"Shall we?"
His voice was all that my ears could hear. His smile was all that my eyes could see. His welcoming scent was all that my nose could smell. And his hand taking mine... was all that my body could feel.
Arm in arm, Jotaro and I walked down the aisle. All eyes on, not me, but us.
Whether my lips were curved in a bright smile or trembling as I fought back joyful tears were unknown to me, but I couldn't care either way. My mind was only on him.
His black locks flowing with each small step he took toward our future. His ocean blue eyes sparkling as he looked ahead into the bright lights. And his lips that would be touching mine so soon to seal our life together.
They were all so much more mesmerizing then than they'd ever been.
I averted my gaze for only a moment as a small giggle escaped. I whispered practically instinctively, "I love you."
He let out a small laugh in response. "Yeah," He whispered. "I love you too."
I hadn't even noticed our beautiful surroundings. There were glorious cherry blossom trees on either side of us, the petals gracefully floating through the air as we made our way down the path. The wooden arbor ahead did not make my head turn until I'd stopped beside it. Oh, how magical the flowers smelled. They wrapped around it like vines, so pretty and elegant.
But Jotaro's eyes staring into mine were so distracting, I hadn't the time to observe the rest of the beautiful setup.
As I stood there, gazing into his sparkling orbs, I noticed a figure behind him. A tall man with even taller white hair. I couldn’t fathom who the man could possibly be, but I didn’t pay him any more attention as it was suddenly time for our vows.
How had it already gotten to this party I knew not, but it didn't matter. Nothing but he did at that moment. So I wasn't nervous, no. I wasn't nervous at all because these words we'd speak would seem to only reach our ears.
