Nick's POV

As soon as I got off the phone with Demi, I threw my phone, off to the side, and then collapsed back on the bed. I laid there, staring up at the ceiling as I began to think about what the hell I just did. My mind was racing, and I had so many emotions running through me, I had no idea what to even think. Was I making the right decision? I may have let go of the best thing I could have ever had, but then again, I have waited years for Delta to realize the mistake she made, and say that she wanted me back. We have been through so much together, and have experienced so much together, that I would have been foolish to not explore that option, right? I let out a deep sigh, rubbed my forehead, and then closed my eyes. I figured I would call Delta back in the morning or talk to her after the meeting. Right now, I just needed to be alone because truth be told, I really was already missing Demi.

After tossing and turning all night long, I finally ended up rolling out of bed at about nine o'clock the next morning. I picked up my phone and checked my emails that were piling up in my inbox. I skimmed over the email that was from Mr. Trescott saying that we would be meeting at noon at a restaurant down in Beverly Hills. After sifting through emails, I decided to hop in the shower and get my day started.

Once I was finished showering and getting ready, I grabbed my keys and headed out towards the main lobby, where I called for a cab. When my cab arrived, I decided to go and check out some of the spots that Demi and I had planned to see, like the beach, but I found that it just wasn't the same. I felt guilty for exploring the city without her, and it only made me miss her more.

I ended up heading over to the restaurant earlier than I needed, but I figured that I would just wait it out since I really didn't want to do anything else. Finally, Mr. Trescott started to roll in, and now we were just waiting for Delta. It wasn't long before she was strutting over to us in one of her gorgeous, tight, red dresses. Seeing Delta made my feel a little better. I stood up to greet her, and gave her a warm hug.

"You two know each other?" Mr. Trescott asked the both of us as he waved his finger between us. Delta and I both looked at each other. We both took our seats and then turned to face Mr. Trescott.

"Yeah, I guess you could say that," I said as I let out a soft laugh and looked over at Delta who was now smiling over at me.

"Interesting," he said as he nodded his head and held up the menu to see what he was going to be ordering. Delta and I ended up doing the same. We exchanged several looks between each other, but said very little. The server came over and took our order, and once our food came out to us, we got right to business. Delta and I both started to say our spiel, and put our offer out on the table for Mr. Trescott to decide on. I felt like Delta had many great offers, as did I. Either way, Mr. Trescott, would be lucky to partner up with either one of our companies.

As the meeting was coming to an end, Mr. Trescott told us how much he appreciated us coming out to meet him. He told us both that he felt confident in both of our abilities and what he had to offer, but he was leaning more towards JOCO. As soon as I heard that he was more interested in JOCO, a smile spread across my face, and I knew my work here was done. Delta nodded her head and said she understood. We all shook hands, and then began to exit the building.

While standing outside of the restaurant, Trescott grabbed the first cab and wished us all a safe flight. He told me that he would be in touch with my assistant, and immediately I was taken back to Demi. I needed to tell her how the meeting went, but I wonder if it was too soon to reach out. I know I hurt her pretty bad. I continued to stare at Trescott's cab as he drove off, down the street. "So.. did you get my message last night?" Delta asked, taking me away from my thoughts.

"Huh," I asked, as I tried to refocus on what she had just previously asked me.

"My voicemail.. did you get a chance to listen to it?" She asked again, as she stood out in front of me.
