Demi POV
After Marissa and I counted to three, we both looked down at the pregnancy stick that sat between my fingertips. We stood there, staring down, and then both looked up at each other at the same time. "Oh, thank god!" I shouted as I threw my arms down so that I could relax. Marissa let out a soft chuckle and then placed her hand on my shoulder.
"See... now you can relax. You definitely are not pregnant," Marissa said as she leaned in and gave me a hug. I hugged her back, and then threw the pregnancy test over into the trash can that was under the sink. I watched as Marissa left, and turned the corner. Before following her, I looked in the mirror and let out a deep breath. I sent a little prayer to God, and thanked him for not making me pregnant. I then smiled and walked out of the bathroom to follow Marissa.
"Hey, why do you think I haven't started my period yet?" I asked as I approached Marissa, who was now in the kitchen, pulling out a soda from the refrigerator. Marissa looked over at me.
"It's honestly probably just from stress. I mean you have been so worried about running into Nick, and you have been stressed over what happened between Nick and you, it makes perfect sense." She said to me.
I nodded my head, "Yeah.. you're probably right. I guess I have been under a lot of stress with Nick and then even with Wilmer, but why do I feel so sick and have these horrible cramps. I feel like my cramps are gradually getting worse," I said as I leaned over the counter and waited for her to respond.
"Who knows. Maybe your body is just getting ready to start. I think you're worrying too much, Demi. Just relax," She said with a smile. "But, wait, why are you worried about Wilmer?" She asked as she stopped what she was doing and focused her attention on me.
"Oh, I never told you... I was on my way to Wilmer's the other day. I was having a hard day at work, and Nick wasn't making it any easier. Nick and I had a little run in on the elevator, and he made me so f ucking horny, I had to do something, so I decided to go to Wilmer's. Anyways... on my way over there, I saw Olivia and him talking outside. I stood back a little and watched, but I couldn't make out what was being said," I explained to Marissa, who just stared at me with wide eyes.
"What the f uck?" Marissa said a little confused, which, I didn't blame her.
I nodded my head, "I know, right? I thought it was incredibly weird. Anyways, I ended up snooping through his phone when he was getting ready and I came across a series of phone calls between two people... OC and DG. I instantly thought of-"
"Olivia and Delta," Marissa cut me off saying.
"Exactly!" I said as I stood up straight and pointed my finger at Marissa.
"Dude, that's f ucking weird! Why would Wilmer be communicating with either of those people?" Marissa asked me. I just stared at her and shrugged my shoulders. I honestly had no idea. What would he be doing talking to them?
"Who the hell knows," I said. "Anyways, I have been trying to figure it out because it has been eating at me, but I can't seem to make a connection." I explained to her.
She just stood there and thought for a minute, "Have you talked to Nick about this? I mean, I know you two really aren't on speaking terms, but have you told him about your concerns?" She asked me and I just let out a deep breath, causing her to tilt her head and look at me.
"I have tried to explain it to him, but he just said that he trusts Delta, and that there is no way that they would be in contact with each other. We haven't really spoken since," I said to Marissa, who was now looking at me with a sympathetic look on her face.
"Man, Demi. I am sorry that you're having to deal with all of this. If it helps, I will help keep an eye out for you!" Marissa said with a smile.
"Thanks, Ris. I will be okay. I guess I just am a little stressed, but now that I know that I'm not pregnant, I can definitely relax a little bit more," I said with a smile. Just then my stomach started to cramp up again. I grabbed it, and held on tightly. Marissa looked at me concerned.
