Nick's POV
After quickly moving away from my encounter with Demi on the elevator, I ended up heading out of the office for the night. I needed to clear my head and figure things out. I decided to go grab a drink. I walked out to where my driver was located and asked him to take me to my usual spot. I loved going to the local bar/lounge, down the street, because it was close, and wasn't ever too crowded.
As soon as the car pulled up to the curb, my driver got out, opened the door, and then waited for me to exit. Once I was out of the car, I smiled and nodded my head. "Thank you, Alex" I said as I got out and nodded to acknowledge him.
"No, problem, Mr. Jonas," He said as he shut the door and then stood there, waiting for instructions.
"I will let you know when I am ready. Go ahead and take a break," I said as I gave him a smile. I then started to walk up, towards the main entrance of the bar. When I walked in, I took a seat in the back of the lounge and waited for the server to come over to take my order.
"Mr. Jonas, nice to see you again, the usual?" The familiar, skinny, blonde haired, girl asked as she smiled up at me.
"Sounds good," I said as I looked off in the distance to see what type of crowd we had going on here tonight.
"Sure thing. It will be right up!" She said as she gave me a smile, and then walked off to grab me a glass of Jameson. As I waited, I sat back, in my booth, and began to think about everything that has happened since Demi has come into my life. I began to think back all the way to our first plane trip together. When she tried to ask me a million questions, but I played it off because I didn't want to be sucked into her ways. I remembered when she came over to my room, and how breathtakingly, beautiful she looked that night. I smiled just thinking about it.
"Looks like someone is having a good day," the server said as she set my drink down on the coaster in front of me. Snapping my head out of my thoughts, I sat up, and cleared my throat.
"Eh, was just thinking about some stuff," I casually said. She just nodded her head and smiled up at me.
"Uh, huh" she said as she turned and walked away.
I watched as she walked away, and then took a sip of my drink that was in front of me. The whiskey traveled smoothly down my throat. I could feel myself starting to relax. I took a deep breath, and then went back to my thoughts on Demi. I began to think about the time when she came to the hospital, and how she hung out with the kids. She was so good with them. Everything she did was perfect. I admired her. I remember that day because that was when I truly started to feel open around Demi. I remember taking her out to Central Park and talking to her about Delta. I can't remember a time when I have ever felt so comfortable with someone. There haven't been very many people in my life where I have felt vulnerable enough to even share that kind of information with anyone in my life, especially a woman. There was something about Demi that made me feel hopeful. That made me feel almost invincible. Like I could say, or do anything, and she would accept me.
I leaned back and took another sip of my drink. I watched as a young couple was sitting at one of the high top tables in the corner. They were sitting close to each other, and the man's hand ran up and down his girl's leg. Watching him run his fingertips down her leg, brought me back to Demi. I remember when I would imagine running my fingertips up and down her legs. Her legs were always so sexy. She usually was always prancing around in a short cocktail dress that would show them off. Just imagining Demi's legs made me feeling a little hot. I looked down at my drink and gave it a swirl before throwing back a bigger sip.
Once I finished my drink, I set it down in front of me. I, then, let out a sigh of frustration. I was frustrated because I wasn't entirely sure what was going on right now. Frustrated because I was so sexually frustrated with Demi, from the lessons we have had, and from the last couple days at work, that it was getting harder and harder to contain myself. I let out another deep sigh. I had no idea what to do, but I know I needed to talk to her.
