Demis POV

I let out a deep breath as I tried to compose myself, and wrap my brain around what had just happened. I looked down the hallway, and remembered Delta. Why was it such a big deal if she was here? I had so many questions running through my head. I felt bad enough that I was the cause of all of this. I needed to go find her.

I started running down the hallway as fast as I could, and made my way down the elevator. As soon as the doors slid open, I looked all around, until, finally, I spotted Delta walking out the Southwest wing of the lobby. I quickly ran past everyone, dodging people left and right. I opened the door, and ran out towards her.

"Delta.. Delta," I said while inhaling a breath of air as I finally caught up to her.

"I am so sorry for whatever just happened. I did not think it would be a big deal to have someone come to the office. I know Mr. Jonas is a very private person, but I figured it would be okay considering your signatures were all over the documents. You see-"

"Demi, it is perfectly fine. I do not need an apology from you. You did nothing wrong. Now, if you'd please excuse me, I really should be going," she said while turning back around, and heading towards the street.

"Wait!" I shouted, causing her to turn around to face me once more. "I have so many questions, can we please discuss things over a cup of coffee, I'll buy," I said with a side smile. I watched as Delta let out a deep sigh, and looked all at all the people around us. She took a few steps towards me, reached her hand out, and placed it on the side of my arm, and then whispered.

"Listen, Demi, I would love to sit, and talk to you, and answer all of your questions, but I know that is not what Mr. Jonas would want," she said as she continued to look at me, giving me a soft smile, almost like reassurance that everything was okay.

"He wouldn't have to know, I can get away from the office for a little bit. I am not a prisoner to the place," I said with a slight chuckle.

"Demi, Mr. Jonas has a way of knowing everything. He has eyes, and ears everywhere. Now, I really must be going," she said as she gave me a quick hug, and then walked away to grab a cab. I wasn't sure what Delta was talking about, and I wasn't quite sure about the history behind her and Mr. Jonas. All I knew was that I have a million questions running through my head, and I needed some answers.

I turned around, and made my way back up to my office building. The whole way up I had one main question that kept running through the back of my mind. What did she mean by he has eyes and ears everywhere? I opened the door to my office, and saw all the files thrown on my desk. I rolled my eyes, and went to sit in my chair. I let out a deep breath, and slowly started sifting through the files. Delta was able to help me some, but not much. I finished sorting through what I could, and then went to set the files I had questions about, over on the table that sat towards the right of my office. Once I set the files down, my phone went off. It was a text message from Marissa.

"Missed you at lunch today, I saw your mystery man going into the hospital today, looking ravishing as ever. 😘"

I just rolled my eyes and laughed to myself. I wonder if that was before or after the Delta incident. I decided to write back, and ask all my questions.

"What time was that around? What was he doing at the hospital? Was he with anyone? Was he visiting someone?"

I looked it over before finally pushing send. I set my phone down, and waited impatiently for a reply. A minute later my phone went off again. I quickly grabbed it.

"Geez, Dem! Got enough questions there? Ha-ha! Uh, it was about twenty minutes ago. He is still in there. I'm over having a late lunch with a friend across the street from the Hospital. I can't tell if he's visiting anyone, but he didn't show up with anyone."
