Do I Tell Him?

Nicks POV

I watched as Demi emerged from the bathroom, and walked over to Wilmer. I think I made him pretty mad, but I was just giving him a hard time. There is something about the dude that rubs me the wrong way. I stood there tuning out Olivia as she ramble on about what she did for the day, and watched as Demi approached Wilmer. I watched as they had a heated discussion. All of a sudden I saw Wilmer grab her arm, and I could feel my blood boiling within me. I could feel myself wanting to go over and protect her, which was another weird feeling that I was not used to. Just as I went to lean forward, I saw Demi yank her arm away, and walk outside of the club. Wilmer followed her close behind. I was curious to see what happened. "Hey, liv, lets get going. I have some emails to check up on when I get home."

"Seriously, Nicky. We practically just got here. Can't we just stay for a little bit longer." She said in almost a whine. I rolled my eyes.

"Well, you can stay if you want, but I am leaving." I said in a firm voice as I quickly chugged what was left of my drink.

"Ugh, fine. I am horny tonight anyways. Lets go have some fun." She said as she sat her drink down on the table, and linked her arm in mine.

"Actually, I am dropping you off on the way home. I am not in the mood. Like I said, I have emails to attend, too." I said as I led the way to the door. I could tell Olivia was upset, but I really did not care. I wanted to get outside and see what was happening with Wilmer and Demi. I knew that I caused this, but I was not going to fix it now. They could use a little spice in their relationship anyways. Just as we got outside I heard Wilmer tell Demi to find her own ride home, or that maybe I could give her a ride. I just laughed in my head. This dude was so jealous, and he had no reason to be. Regardless of what almost happened the other day, there is nothing going on between Demi and I. Just as Wilmer got into his car, I yelled over to Demi, and asked if she needed a ride home. She must have been pretty upset because she just turned around, and started walking away. I just laughed, and waited for the valet to get my car.

After I dropped off Olivia, I headed home, and took a hot shower. Once I got out of the shower, I went into my office, and got settled to respond to my emails. After going through nearly forty emails, I was just about to close down my computer, when another one popped up. It was from Demi. I decided to click on it.

"Dear Mr. Jonas,

I regret to inform you that I would like to tender my resignation as your personal assistant effective immediately. I hereby give my intention to leave JOCO.

I made this decision, not because I am unhappy with the opportunity you have presented, but as a strategic career move. It has been a great pleasure working with you and representing the company. I wish you and JOCO continued success.

If there is anything I can do in aiding a smooth transition of responsibilities, please let me know.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Demi Lovato"

As soon as I saw the email that Demi sent me, my mouth was agape, and I leaned closer to the computer to make sure I was reading it correctly. Was she really wanting to quit? Was this because of her fight with Wilmer? Was this because of what I said? I read the email another couple of times. She can't quit. I need her. I reached into my pocket, and dialed Demi's number. The phone rang and rang, but there was no answer. It was late, but I didn't care. I decided to go grab my keys, and drive over to her place.

When I pulled up to Demi's apartment, I quickly jumped out of my car, and ran up to her apartment. I banged on the door repeatedly, but nobody answered. Not long after, her neighbor opened the door, half asleep.
