(A/N: so I was revising the previous chapter and the number of errors gave me a migraine. I'm so sorry. I've corrected the noticeable ones.)

Lia was a good cook, was Oliver's first thought. And she was and that was a lot coming from Oliver who was a very picky eater. He didn't even eat the cafeteria's food. He supposed it was expected because, again, she was his flesh and blood.
"Your cooking is amazing", he said to her.
Lia smiled at him. taking a bite of her meal. There was this lightness to her than had not been present when they left the hospital. He supposed she was the kind to cook as a stress relief. Why Oliver was having the mental gymnastics, he didn't understand.
He glanced at Chris at the other side of the table. He studied him. Chris would stare at his food as if it was a phenomenal science discovery before shoving it in his mouth. He did that everytime.
What a weird kid.
"Unusual, isn't he?" Lia's question snapped him out of it. He flushed embarrassed having being caught.
He turned to face her. She was looking at Chris with a fondness she never used on anyone else.
What an inappropriate time to feel jealous.
"He's the greatest gift the universe has ever given me"
Truly an inappropriate time to feel jealous.
"You graduate in a few months, don't you?", She asked. He was more than glad for the change of subject.
He nodded taking another bite of his food.
"What do you plan to do in uni? I'm guessing business"
He suddenly felt his throat tighten.
"Yeah, I suppose"
Oliver felt uncomfortable. He didn't like this topic.
"Or something else. It's very important that you do what you love", she quickly said after noticing the look on his face.
" But really, don't listen to me. I'm 38 and broke", she tried joking but Oliver could see how much those words hurt her. It was nothing to be ashamed of though. Life is shit. It's people like Lia that deserve good things. He had to reassure her somehow.
" I'm done, can I go outside?" Chris interrupted what he was about to say.
"Sure, my love"
Chris stood up and starting walking away but stopped and turned. He just stood there pulling at the sleeves of his sweater.
"I think he wants you to follow him" , Lia whispered to him.
"Oh"
Oliver turned to face Chris who was staring at him now. The look on Chris' face almost had him running for the hills. He didn't trust himself alone with Chris. He could find an excuse not to go with him, wherever he was going but his body had other ideas because he was already standing and walking towards him. They walked out together.
The outside was a hammock that was constructed in their front yard, which Oliver had seen on his way in earlier.
They sat side by side as they hammock moved. And what was worse? The hammock was small, though hammock were supposed to be big. Their arms were almost touching. The silence was the icing on the cake. Oliver felt uneasy. He swallowed painfully.
He needed to make a conversation. Anything.
"When last did you draw something?" He asked. It wasn't a bad question. Chris loved art. He would probably get a reply.
"It's been a while", Chris replied honestly and almost quickly. Oliver would have thought he was also craving a conversation but this was Chris.
"You could draw Kathy something for when she wakes, you know? They do say if positive energy surrounds a coma patient, they are likely to wake up even earlier"
What was Oliver saying? He was making any sense. No seriously, his statements were utter rubbish.
" Can you stop speaking to me like I'm a child?" Chris suddenly said that Oliver had to blink that he really said that. He wasn't used to this side of him.
"Sorry"
Now he was apologizing. The normal him would have glared or teased (bullied) him.
" My point is you should draw her something. I'm sure she'll appreciate it"
Chris turned and caught his gaze. Oliver felt his heart at that back of his throat.
What the fuck?
Chris was too much but he couldn't look away.
" I miss her so much", if Oliver hadn't seen his lips moving (because for some reason, Oliver was staring at his lips), which confirmed he was indeed saying something, he wouldn't have heard him due to how soft he whispered.
He looked up and caught his gaze again,
"I know", he whispered almost as low.
Chris kept staring at him and Oliver didn't look away, couldn't look away.
His eyes landed on his lips again.
What would he feel like though?
Chris had pink lips. That was the first ever thing he had noticed about him, much to his embarrassment. They were both full but the top one was fuller than the bottom. He looked like a cherub except he was dark haired.
Oliver mentally shook his head.
What the fuck?
The rate at which Oliver's heart was beating, it would be a miracle if Chris didn't hear it. The said boy was still staring at him, looking undisturbed and that thought almost made him snap out of it until Chris licked his lips.
Goodness gracious.
Oliver was insane. The whole situation was insane. He was still curious though. He felt himself moving and then he was titling his head. One taste wouldn't hurt. It would most probably satisfy his curiosity and that was it.
His brain had started ten seconds ago to remind him that Chris had a boyfriend but his will and body wouldn't listen.
Just one.
"Kids", Lia shouted from inside and that startled Oliver, almost enough for him to fall.
Oliver quickly scrambled up and moved a few feet away from his tormentor.
Oliver didn't understand anything. He was so confused.
Lia arrived a few seconds later,
"Come on we have to go. The hospital called"
She was already walking towards her car.
"Kathy is awake"

(So I wasn't supposed to update today because I'm kind of experiencing a writer's block but I pushed myself (no it was a physical battle) till I wrote over a thousand words. So, like thank you for reading!!!)
