Nora POV

„Hey Are you okay? You seem distracted?" I heard Beth whisper from the side as I was just looking down onto my notebook not wanting to creat any eye contact with Lizzie.

„Hmm yeah. Just... tired." I replied while playing around with my pen. I either do it with my rings or a pen as a calming mechanism. It's a habit I can't get rid of and it usually always helps me to be chill.

„Well that doesn't sound like a good excuse. What's going on?" she asked me and I knew I can't lie to her about anything. She knows me way to well and that goes both ways.

„Just. Thinking a lot. That's all."

„Let's get some smoothies after this lesson you don't look so good and I know you have Something big on your mind that needs to be let out."
She offered and I nod not taking my eyes of my
Notebook.

„I hope you all finished your last weeks assignment on time. It's about to bell in a minute. I won't give you any assignments for today so just stack the old ones up on my desk as you leave. Have a great day everyone." Lizzie finished the lecture and I heard the bell ring which made everyone leave in a rush.

„I'll go to the bathroom real quick. I'll be outside alright." Beth stroked my back as she walked past me and I nod while packing up my bag.

„Hey can we talk?" I heard her whisper as I still noticed how other students where still leaving.

I didn't look at her first but I feel like I have to at some point so I glanced at her and I noticed immediately that she wasn't feeling well.

„I don't have anything to say Professor."
I answered as I placed my assignment down on the packed stack. The students left and I felt her hand on mine as it still laid on the papers.
Her hand was warm, soft and her touch was gentle almost in a pleading way trying not to be all to harsh.

„Please. If you don't have anything to say then at least listen to what I have to say."
She pleaded and I let my bag fall down onto the ground.

I removed my hand and sat on the chair in front of her desk waiting for her to say anything.

She got up and walked to the door closing it so no one can disrupt us. I feel like this has become a thing of ours. Being Behind closed doors.

„I wanted to apologize for what happened the other night. I-I shouldn't have kissed you. It was unprofessional and inappropriate. It was extremely out of place and I was drunk and I don't know why I did a-and i'm Just so so sorry."
My eyes met hers again and I notice how she was filled with guilt and anxiety.

It's not like I did more with Scarlett but she doesn't need to know that. Nobody does.

„Is This all?" I asked and she looked a bit confused.

„Eh... yeah?" she replied irritated.

„Okay. I can leave then... can I?" I asked as I got up grabbing my bag but she had a stern look on her face now.

„Sit back down." she demanded and I rolled my eyes.

„I'm sat." I replied and she nod while crossing her arms.

„Don't you got anything to say?" she asked and I shrugged my shoulders.

„As good as the kiss was I shouldn't have leaned in for it. I shouldn't have let it happen in the first place but we where both drunk caught in the moment so it's not a big deal."
Not a big deal? Not a big deal? How am I even able to keep my cool so good? Of course it's a big deal for me. But she obviously regrets it.
